The 5th Congress of the Provincial Youth Union, term 2024-2029, was a great success.

On the morning of July 15, at the Provincial Convention Center, the 5th Provincial Youth Union Congress, term 2024 - 2029, continued its second working session and was a great success. Attending the congress on the side of the Central Youth Union were comrades: Ngo Van Cuong, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, Chairman of the Central Youth Union Inspection Committee; Nguyen Kim Quy, Head of the Central Youth Union's Youth Solidarity Committee, Permanent Vice President of the Central Youth Union; on the side of the province, there was comrade Nguyen Tien Thanh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; comrades of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, leaders of the Provincial People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee, along with 250 delegates who are outstanding cadres and youth union members representing more than 300,000 young people in the province.

With the spirit of "Patriotism - Solidarity - Aspiration - Creativity - Development", the Congress focused on evaluating the work of the association and the youth movement of Thai Binh province, term 2019 - 2024; setting out goals and directions for the work of the association and the youth movement of Thai Binh province for the term 2024 - 2029. The political report at the Congress affirmed: The work of the association and the youth movement of Thai Binh province for the term 2019 - 2024 has achieved many outstanding achievements. The movement "I love my Fatherland" continues to be widely deployed by associations at all levels, attracting and penetrating into the lives of young people, encouraging, urging and calling on young people to express their patriotism through concrete actions.

Over the past 5 years, the Youth Union at all levels has presented 20,450 gifts to policy beneficiaries, poor households, and the elderly in difficult circumstances; awarded 26,740 scholarships to students who have overcome difficulties; supported the repair and construction of 102 new houses; carried out 1,095 projects and youth work to participate in building new rural areas. Along with that, mobilized more than 5,000 working days to join hands in repairing and renovating 130.6km of rural roads; renovated and upgraded 84 toilets in schools; installed 195km of power lines, 4,215 lighting equipment; 17 community sports fields; 2 bridges. In the economic field, the whole province has 8 district-level economic development youth clubs, 92 commune-level economic development youth clubs, and over 700 typical economic development youth models. The Youth Union at all levels has provided career guidance and counseling to more than 120,000 young people and students; introduced jobs to 5,152 young people. The work of building organizations and expanding the solidarity front to gather young people has been focused on and developed among many young people. The methods and forms of organizing the activities of the union are increasingly diverse, the content is gradually closer to the needs of young people and the practical situation at the grassroots level.

At the Congress, delegates focused on discussing, contributing additional ideas, clarifying the results of the association's work and the youth movement achieved in the past term; at the same time, proposing a number of solutions to effectively implement the association's tasks in the coming term.

With the slogan of action "Thai Binh Youth: Patriotism - Solidarity - Aspiration - Creativity - Development", the Provincial Youth Union Committee sets out 10 key targets for the 2024 - 2029 term. Specifically, strive to support at least 30 innovative start-up projects of young people to be connected with businesses or receive investment support from appropriate funding sources; strive to provide counseling, career guidance, and job referrals to 7,000 young people, of whom at least 1,000 young people are introduced to stable jobs; strive to have 50,000 young people participate in activities to support digital capacity building, proficient use of digital media; organize medical examinations, health care, chronic disease screening, and free medicine for 50,000 young people and people in difficult circumstances. 100% of Youth Unions at all levels organize at least 2 activities to support young people in preserving and promoting national cultural identity; strive to have 50,000 young people participate in activities to support improving foreign language skills and international integration.

Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Nguyen Kim Quy, Head of the Central Youth Union's Solidarity Committee, Permanent Vice President of the Central Youth Union of Vietnam and Comrade Nguyen Tien Thanh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council acknowledged and commended the achievements that cadres, members and youth of Thai Binh province have achieved in the past term. In order to continue to improve the quality and effectiveness of the activities of all levels of the association and youth movements, and actively contribute to the local socio-economic development, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council requested that all levels of the association continue to do a good job of propaganda, mobilization and seriously and effectively implement the policies of the Party, the State and the province's direction on youth work. Focus on doing a good job of political and ideological education for the younger generation. Strengthen the work of grasping the ideological situation and public opinion among young people, promptly orienting and resolving issues arising among young people, especially among the special youth force. Continue to closely follow the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, and the province's direction and orientation on socio-economic development, especially the resolutions, directives and conclusions of the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, which have just been issued, to proactively coordinate and effectively organize patriotic emulation movements and campaigns associated with the implementation of political tasks of localities, agencies and units in order to promote the pioneering role, creativity, volunteer spirit, and awaken the great potential of young people; promote the spirit of entrepreneurship, start-up and creativity among young people.

Comrade Nguyen Tien Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council emphasized: Youth must be the pioneers in researching, receiving, applying technology, digital transformation, artificial intelligence in labor, production, combat and study. The Youth Union at all levels constantly innovates the content and methods of operation of the Union in a flexible, diverse direction, adjusting promptly to the rapid movements and changes of the youth situation, social life, and development trends of information technology and social networks. At the same time, focus on consolidating and building all levels of the Union to be strong in all aspects of politics, ideology and organization so that the Youth Union is truly a broad social organization, attractive and appealing to all youth groups and groups.

Mr. Thieu Minh Quynh, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Provincial Youth Union, term IV, was re-elected as Chairman of the Thai Binh Provincial Youth Union, term V, 2024 - 2029.
