According to the proposal, the building includes 2 basements, 10 floors above ground with a height of 46 m. The total proposed investment is 342.5 billion VND, from the city budget.
Implementation period from 2024-2027, of which project preparation period is from 2024-2025.
The school believes that investing in the construction of a building for scientific research and training in semiconductor microchips is very necessary and urgent in the current period before the rapid changes of the 4.0 technology revolution.
Moreover, the project construction is very convenient because the land for building construction is located within the school campus, so there is no need for site clearance.
The construction area already has an electrical system, water supply and drainage system, traffic system, etc. Therefore, it will ensure that when constructing the project, it will be fully connected to the general technical infrastructure of the area.
Regarding planning, the Project is also consistent with the development planning of the education and training sector of Ho Chi Minh City and consistent with the regional construction planning.
Project construction is consistent with the investment plan and does not overlap with project programs that have had investment policy decisions or investment decisions.
After completion and operation, the project will meet the school's needs for facilities and modern equipment to serve the learning, research and creative activities of lecturers and students in the research and training of semiconductor microchips.
Recently, speaking to investors at the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park, Mr. Vo Van Hoan, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, said that the City aims to become a center for the development of the semiconductor industry and a center for science, technology, and innovation of the country, competing regionally and internationally.
To achieve the set goals, the City Government continues to research and further develop science and technology infrastructure, investing more in facilities serving high-tech industries, including the semiconductor industry.
