On the morning of November 20, Hue University held a ceremony to commend professors, associate professors, doctors, people's teachers, excellent teachers, workers... with outstanding achievements in professional training and science and technology in 2023.
Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Le Anh Phuong, Director of Hue University, was proud that over the past year, Hue University continued to achieve many results and achievements.
Specifically, Hue University continues to be one of five Vietnamese universities listed in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings; more than 500 articles have been published in international journals and 32 international cooperation projects have been organized...
Associate Professor, Dr. Le Anh Phuong, Director of Hue University, spoke at the ceremony.
In particular, Associate Professor Dr. Le Anh Phuong said that according to information from the State Council of Professors, in 2023, Hue University will have 18 teachers meeting the standards for the titles of professor and associate professor.
"This is truly a very exciting result of Hue University in the work of building and developing its staff... To achieve these achievements, there is the intellectual dedication, effort, and affection of many generations of Hue University teachers," Mr. Phuong emphasized.
On this occasion, the Director of Hue University awarded certificates of merit to individuals with outstanding achievements. Among them, there were 3 individuals who contributed many articles published in international journals, including: Prof. Dr. Dinh Quang Khieu (Faculty of Chemistry, University of Science, with 11 articles), Associate Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Ai Nhung (Faculty of Chemistry, University of Science, 10 articles) and Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Hoai (Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Medicine and Pharmacy, 10 articles).
Hue University also awarded 368 authors whose articles were published in international journals, 120 individuals who were co-authors of articles, and 10 individuals who were main authors of book chapters.
At the same time, Hue University awarded many individuals with achievements in professional training. Specifically, it awarded 4 individuals with the title of associate professor, 5 individuals with achievements in improving professional qualifications, 2 individuals with international awards and 18 individuals with national awards.
The total reward this time is up to more than 4.1 billion VND.

On behalf of the teachers receiving the award, speaking at the ceremony, Professor Dinh Quang Khieu hopes that in the coming time, Hue University will soon establish key laboratories and invest to create conditions and an environment for scientists to continue to combine research.
"To have a large scientific project, integration between disciplines is needed. For example, chemistry needs to be linked with agriculture and microbiology to create projects with practical applications," said Professor Dinh Quang Khieu.
