Highlights of the opening night of Vietnam Family Day 2024

In her opening speech, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Trinh Thi Thuy said that since 2001, the Prime Minister has decided to make June 28 every year Vietnamese Family Day.

On this occasion, localities across the country organized many meaningful activities to further emphasize the role and position of the family as well as the responsibility of sectors, levels and the whole society in building civilized, equal, progressive and happy families; promoting the work of protecting, caring for andeducating children...

Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Trinh Thi Thuy delivered the opening speech at the Vietnam Family Day 2024.

"Vietnamese Family Day is an occasion to honor the traditional humanistic values ​​of the family, so that all family members can show more concern for each other, love, share and appreciate each other... At the same time, Family Day also allows Vietnamese people to turn to their roots, to their relatives, to their loving homes, to nurture beautiful feelings and noble cultural values ​​of the nation..." - Deputy Minister Trinh Thi Thuy emphasized.

With the theme "Happy Family, Prosperous Nation", Vietnam Family Day 2024 is a cultural activity to enhance exchange, learning, sharing and cooperation between localities and families in building happy families, cultural families, towards sustainable family development in the new era.

According to Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee Le Khac Nam, along with socio-economic development, the Port City always pays attention to the movement of building cultural families, cultural villages, cultural residential groups and effectively implementing the Strategy for developing Vietnamese families to 2020, with a vision to 2030.

Vietnam Family Day not only aims to honor the profound human values ​​of Vietnamese families, build a culture of behavior in families, communities and society, but also is an opportunity to inherit and promote good traditional values, absorb new and progressive values, prevent domestic violence, promote gender equality and especially help young families understand more about the value of family in today's modern society.

At the Family Day, many exciting activities took place such as: art performances from different regions, displays, exhibitions of documents, images, and artifacts about the care, building, and development of Vietnamese families by President Ho Chi Minh, by leaders of the Party, the State, all levels, sectors, and the whole society...

The art program is vibrant and rich with the participation of many performing art troupes from many regions across the country.

At the festival, there is also an exhibition of images of "Beauty in Vietnamese family culture" reflecting typical daily life and "mother-child" love in families of Vietnamese ethnic groups in different regions of the country...

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee also organized exchange programs, meetings with idols with the theme "Sports in Vietnamese families" to meet with typical athletes; the art festival "Family joy" with the participation of teams from Hai Phong, Hanoi and neighboring provinces; traditional folk art exchange; the Fashion show "Nurturing happiness"; the Art exchange program "Summer of childhood", the Gala "Happy dance"; displaying traditional handicraft products, OCOP products, regional specialties throughout the country.

Vietnamese Family Day lasts until June 29.
