This event took place on the morning of September 18, local time. The US side noted that there are more and more successful Vietnamese people in various fields, including Vietnamese businesses with a scale of hundreds of millions, even billions of USD.
Business leaders highly appreciate Vietnam's increasingly improved and open investment and business environment, along with the correct leadership and management of the Party and State and the dynamic, close and drastic direction and administration of the Government and Prime Minister.

The new step forward in the Vietnam-US relationship is also welcomed by businesses with the expectation that the relationship will create many new opportunities for trade and investment activities.
According to business leaders, the Vietnamese community here is very dynamic, united, always looking towards the homeland and wanting to contribute more to the development of the country as well as the relationship between the two countries.
Sharing with business leaders, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized the important significance of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and President Joe Biden's announcement to upgrade Vietnam-US relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
According to the head of the Vietnamese Government, this reflects the stature of the relationship, is in line with the interests of the people of the two countries and actively contributes to peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
The Prime Minister affirmed that the Vietnam-US relationship has developed on all three levels: bilateral, regional and international after nearly 30 years of normalization of relations and 10 years of establishing the Comprehensive Partnership. In particular, economy - trade - investment continues to be a bright spot and driving force of the bilateral relationship, with two-way turnover reaching over 123 billion USD by 2022.
"Vietnam identifies innovation as the driving force for economic development in the period up to 2030, with a vision to 2045," said the Prime Minister.

He said that Vietnam and the US agreed to make technology, innovation and investment truly become important new pillars of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
The Prime Minister highly appreciated the overseas Vietnamese business community's increasing contributions to the development of Vietnam's economy and increased investment in the Vietnamese market.
To date, overseas Vietnamese have had 385 investment projects in Vietnam with a total registered capital of over 1.7 billion USD and contributed capital to thousands of enterprises in Vietnam. This is a huge source of capital actively serving the socio-economic development of Vietnam.
The Prime Minister suggested that the overseas Vietnamese business community take full advantage of the great opportunities from the establishment of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries; pay more attention to the Vietnamese market and cooperate with domestic enterprises, becoming a bridge to help Vietnam participate more deeply in the global supply chain; .
Some areas that the Prime Minister has focused on cooperation include innovation, digital transformation, green transformation, circular economy, sharing economy, and climate change response. He said he will mention these contents in his discussions with leaders of the US and San Francisco.
Regarding the wishes and proposals of businesses, the Prime Minister said that he would take note and ask ministries and sectors to focus on reviewing, researching, and soon finding appropriate solutions. He affirmed that the Vietnamese Government will always create favorable conditions for entrepreneurs to have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the two countries.
