Da Nang responds to voters' petitions about the Da Nang Center project

The investor of the Da Nang Center project does not have enough finance to implement the project in case Da Nang cancels the land acquisition. If the land is acquired, the enterprise hopes to be compensated or exchanged for another land.

The People's Committee of Da Nang City has reported the results of its response to voters, including recommendations about the Da Nang Center project that has been "suspended" for many years, causing loss of urban beauty and environmental pollution.

According to the authorities, the land approved for the Da Nang Center project has an area of 7,878 square meters, facing three frontages of Phan Chau Trinh, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai and Hung Vuong streets (Hai Chau district). The project investor is Vu Chau Long Real Estate Joint Stock Company.

For this project, the People's Committee of Da Nang City issued an official dispatch assigning the Department of Planning and Investment to preside over, coordinate with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, and the Department of Construction to work with the investor, urge and implement the project and commit to the implementation roadmap according to the provisions of law, and report the results to the city.

Relevant departments and branches of Da Nang city have worked with the project investor on the implementation status, difficulties, and commitment to the implementation roadmap.

The investor also sent a document proposing a solution for the project, in which the enterprise agreed and requested to be compensated in cash or exchanged for land use rights in another plot of land of equivalent value in case the city continues to reclaim the project land for public use.

In case Da Nang city cancels the land acquisition of the project, currently, the enterprise does not have enough financial capacity to continue implementing the project, hoping that the city will support in finding an investor to transfer the project.

The Department of Planning and Investment has reported to the People's Committee of Da Nang City on the handling of the enterprises' recommendations regarding the above project. The People's Committee of Da Nang City is directing relevant departments and branches to advise and handle the matter.

Danang Center project is one of 3 projects (Golden Square, Far East Meridian) that have been "suspended" for many years in the center of Hai Chau district (Da Nang).

The Da Nang Center project was introduced as a high-rise apartment complex for sale and rent, a high-end commercial center... However, the project has now become a "mosquito pond" because there is no drainage.
