It is forecasted that from tonight, September 18 to September 20, in Da Nang city, there will be moderate rain, heavy rain in some places, very heavy rain with total rainfall of 80-150mm, in some places over 200mm.
Flooded roads make traffic on many routes extremely difficult, with motorcyclists having to squeeze through narrow gaps between cars to escape flooded, congested sections of road.
Many motorbikes had to move slowly on the sidewalk to avoid deep flooding on Le Duan Street.
Many motorcyclists could not move and had to wait for the water to recede.
Many vehicles stalled, people tried to push their vehicles through the flooded road.
People living and doing business on Le Duan Street (Thanh Khe District) built "dykes" to prevent water from flooding into their houses.
Nguyen Van Linh Street intersecting with Ham Nghi (Vinh Trung Ward, Thanh Khe District) is also flooded.
Here, many sections are flooded more than half a motorbike wheel. People have difficulty moving.
Nui Thanh Street (near March 29 Square) was also flooded.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 10:00 p.m. on September 17, the center of the tropical depression was located at about 16.8 degrees North latitude; 115.3 degrees East longitude, about 410km east of Hoang Sa archipelago.
The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression is level 7 (50-61km/h), gusting to level 9; moving mainly to the West at a speed of about 25-30km/h.
By the night of September 18, the above form strengthened into storm No. 4 in the waters of Hoang Sa archipelago. The strongest wind near the storm center is level 8, gusting to level 10; moving in the West Southwest direction, speed about 20km/h.
On September 19, storm No. 4 was about 160km east-southeast of the mainland provinces from Quang Binh to Da Nang. The strongest wind near the storm center was level 8-9, gusting to level 11; moving mainly in the West-Northwest direction, about 15km per hour.
In the next 24 hours, the North East Sea area (including Hoang Sa archipelago) will have strong winds of level 6-7, waves 2-4m high; the area near the storm center will have winds of level 8 (62-74km/h), gusts of level 10 (89-102km/h), waves 3-5m high, very rough seas.
