Da Nang catches the eye of Indian wedding tourism event organizer

The seminar took place this afternoon, December 15, at the International Convention Palace IPC Furama Danang Resort, attracting more than 100 domestic and foreign units, tourism service providers, wedding services, and event organizers to attend directly and online.

According to the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center, in 2024 - 2025, the tourism industry has many plans to develop wedding tourism, an idea that the city has long cherished. This is the right time to capture market segments, connect businesses, develop a service ecosystem and build a "destination" wedding brand for Da Nang City.

In 2023, although direct flights have not been restored, the total number of Indian visitors to Da Nang City will still reach nearly 69,000, accounting for 4.64% of the structure of international visitors to Da Nang.

Compared to the total 105,425 Indian visitors to Vietnam, for every 2 Indians traveling to Vietnam, 1 will visit Da Nang. The Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center believes that Da Nang and its surrounding areas are soon catching the eye of Indian wedding organizers, with more than 20 Indian wedding events in the past 2 years and 6 weddings expected to be held in the first 2 months of 2024.

Therefore, the Da Nang tourism industry chose the message "Where happiness begins" for the Da Nang wedding "destination" in the period of 2024 - 2025 to motivate the tourism community to join hands to develop, build a brand, become a place to date, take flight and record beautiful stories.

At the seminar, Indian wedding event organizers also pointed out the difficulties in organizing weddings, including the limitations of the local wedding service ecosystem when compared to familiar wedding "destinations" like Thailand.

Obstacles in local management policies also need to be resolved soon to attract more international units and event organizers to Da Nang City as well as the Central region.
