Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University) has announced the benchmark scores for early admission methods in 2024, which are method 1.2 and method 2.
The average score of each subject in the admission combination must reach 9 points.
Method 1.2 - Priority is given to direct admission of excellent and talented candidates from high schools according to regulations of Ho Chi Minh City National University.
Method 2 - priority admission according to regulations of Ho Chi Minh City National University.
Candidates can now look up the admission results at the admission portal of the University of Science and Technology: mybk.hcmut.edu.vn/tuyensinh/search.
This year, the University of Technology received 3,211 applications with 8,696 wishes for method 2 and 96 applications with 232 wishes for method 1.2.
Compared to 2023, the number of registered wishes increased by 18.8% for method 2 and 7.4% for method 1.2.
The school considers admission based on the total average scores of subjects (belonging to the admission subject group) of grades 10, 11, 12 (90-point scale), essays; recommendation letters (method 2).
Of the total 44 admission majors, 6 majors have a benchmark score above 85 and 21 majors have a benchmark score above 81 (the average of each subject in the admission combination must reach 9.0 points).
The major with the highest benchmark score is computer science, standard program with a total score of 86.7.
Priority admission scores to University of Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University)
Those who are admitted through early admission methods must re-register their application.
The school notes that candidates who are eligible for admission through early admission methods must re-register this wish at the Ministry of Education and Training's admission registration portal from July 18 to before 5:00 p.m. on July 30.
If you do not re-register on the ministry's portal, it means that candidates will not use this result in admission.
Candidates who are not admitted by early admission methods can still continue to register for their favorite majors with method 5 - comprehensive admission.
Candidates applying for admission by this method register their wishes at the Ministry of Education and Training's admission registration portal and register additional information (personal information, high school transcripts, personal achievements, foreign language certificates...) on the University of Science and Technology's information portal https://mybk.hcmut.edu.vn/tuyensinh/login (expected from July 18 to before 5:00 p.m. on July 30).
