According to the publisher, the book mainly mentions stories, events, and characters in famous corruption cases as well as successful anti-corruption campaigns and solutions in a number of countries, while describing the fierceness of this fight both legally and practically.

The valuable experiences of countries and territories such as South Korea, Australia, Singapore, Denmark, New Zealand, Germany, Hong Kong (China), UK... can be useful lessons for Vietnam.

In addition, readers will find in the book some information about legal sanctions for corruption and bribery crimes in the world .

The book also includes articles on cases in Vietnam's fight against corruption, especially the article on the determination and iron will of the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong in pushing back corruption in our country.

Writing the introduction for the book, Associate Professor - Doctor Pham Duy Duc, former Director of the Institute of Culture and Development, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, assessed that the book by journalist Ha Hong Ha can be considered a unique and different feature among a series of documents on preventing and fighting corruption today.

The book attracts readers right from the title. It shows that perhaps this will not be a somewhat dry study heavy on theory, argument, data and evidence like many other documents, but will be a mixture of journalistic commentary, literary freedom and a bit of... adventure.

“The book is a colorful picture of anti-corruption with different methods of many countries and organizations, from England, Germany, Russia to Korea, Japan, Malaysia and Bhutan - the happy country, leading readers to spontaneously explore from one experience to another,” said Mr. Pham Duy Duc.

Accordingly, readers do not need to read from beginning to end, but can read any part if they are interested. For example, if readers are interested in Denmark, they can read right at the beginning of the book, but if they are curious about Malaysia, they can turn to the end of the book, or go to Australia to see how journalists work in the fight against corruption.

According to Associate Professor, Doctor Pham Duy Duc, the final lesson is the understanding of the diverse fight against corruption in the world, which is very complex and difficult, but if there is a suitable method, it will definitely be effective.

There are successes and failures, which will be lessons for each person to reflect on when relating to the fight against corruption in their country. Through that, we have a more positive and optimistic view of the future, because there are many countries and territories, such as Hong Kong (China), where corruption was once very serious, but with determination and the right solutions, they have succeeded.

“The book also affirms the value of a transparent, low-corruption civil service that every state needs to pursue if it wants to survive and develop,” Mr. Pham Duy Duc emphasized.
