(NLDO) - A notable development today is that domestic gold prices increased faster than world prices.
At the end of March 7, the price of SJC gold bars continued to "heat up" when a series of companies such as SJC, PNJ, DOJI increased to 91.1 million VND/tael for buying and 93.1 million VND/tael for selling, an increase of 400,000 VND/tael compared to the morning. This is the record peak of gold prices set last February. Thus, the gold price has returned to the all-time peak.
Similarly, the price of 99.99 gold rings and jewelry gold did not lose out, increasing sharply to a new record of 91.1 million VND/tael for buying and 93 million VND/tael for selling, an increase of 400,000 VND per tael compared to the morning.
The biggest surprise was that gold bars from other brands surpassed SJC.
For example, Bao Tin Minh Chau Gold Company listed Thang Long Dragon Gold bars at VND92 million/tael for buying and VND93.5 million/tael for selling - VND400,000/tael higher than SJC. In addition, the company's plain gold rings also reached VND93.5 million/tael, while PNJ pushed gold rings to VND93.2 million/tael.
Domestic gold prices jumped to a new record high as world gold prices continued to rise. At the end of today, the precious metal on the international market was traded at $2,920/ounce, up nearly $20/ounce compared to the morning session.
SJC gold bar price hits historic peak of 93.1 million VND/tael
A notable development today is that domestic gold prices increased faster than world prices.
World gold prices are far below the record peak of 2,954 USD/ounce, while SJC gold bar and gold ring prices have increased to new peaks, touching and surpassing old peaks.
This development helps narrow the gap between domestic and world gold prices. Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 90.4 million VND/tael, lower than SJC gold bars and gold rings by about 2.6 million VND/tael.
