Mr. Trump and Ms. Harris debate organized by ABC News in Philadelphia (Pennsylvania)

According to ABC News, the debate between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris will last 90 minutes with 2 commercial breaks, moderated by 2 hosts David Muir and Linsey Davis.

Only Mr. Muir and Ms. Davis are allowed to ask questions. They are also the ones introducing the candidates. Candidates will not be allowed to ask questions of each other.

A coin toss was held online on September 3 to determine podium positions and final speaking order.

Former President Donald Trump won the coin toss and chose the order of speeches. The former president will deliver the final remarks, and Vice President Harris chose the podium on the right side of the screen (stage left).

Closing statements will last 2 minutes for each candidate. Candidates will stand behind the podium throughout the debate.

Does President Putin support Mr. Trump or Ms. Harris in the US election?

Candidates are not allowed to bring props or pre-written notes on stage, nor are they allowed to share topics or questions with campaigns or candidates in advance.

Candidates will be given a pen, a pad of paper, and a bottle of water. Candidates will have 2 minutes to answer questions, 2 minutes to respond, and an additional minute to monitor, clarify, or respond.

Candidates' microphones will only be turned on for the candidate whose turn it is to speak and will be muted when time is available for another candidate.

Campaign staff are not allowed to interact with candidates during commercial breaks. There is no audience in the debate room.
