“English Book” Drawing Contest: Lesson Experience – Creative Drawings

The painting contest “English Books – Colorful Pictures” organized by Phuong Nam Education Investment and Development Joint Stock Company (Phuong Nam Education) has officially accepted entries since September 16, 2024. This playground is an opportunity for students of all levels to be creative and demonstrate their painting talents.

Representative of Phuong Nam Education Investment and Development Joint Stock Company, Ms. Bui Thu Giang, Deputy General Director of the company, shared: with the desire to bring a different perspective on English textbooks through the feelings of students, the drawing contest " English books - Colorful pictures " was organized by the company within the scope of provinces/cities including: An Giang, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Bac Lieu, Ben Tre, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Binh Thuan, Ca Mau, Can Tho, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Dong Nai, Dong Thap, Hau Giang, Khanh Hoa, Kien Giang, Lam Dong, Long An, Ninh Thuan, Phu Yen, Soc Trang, Tay Ninh, Tien Giang, Tra Vinh, Vinh Long and Ho Chi Minh City.

The contest is organized with an "open" theme based on lessons and topics in the English Textbooks of the Vietnam Education Publishing House (Global Success English, Family And Friends National Edition English, Friends Plus English and Friends Global English) to encourage and motivate students to participate and develop their imagination by redrawing the learning topic through the perspective/feelings of each student.

The pages of the book not only bring new knowledge and understanding to students but also give them different perspectives on the life around them (family, friends, school, career, future...). Following each page of the book are topics and lessons that are integrated with their own messages, behind which students learn about patriotism, Vietnamese and world culture, and even the art of behavior...

Each entry is a story told, a lesson drawn. Some children enthusiastically share about the lessons they have learned in English books, which could be lessons about future careers or a more modern, beautiful world; or there are bright drawings that sketch out a whole world of emotions after each lesson...

Each picture will give the audience an interesting perspective on how students receive knowledge from English books.

The competition will take place within 1 month from September 16 to October 16, 2024. The announcement and award ceremony are expected to be completed in December 2024.

To ensure fairness for participating students, the organizing committee has divided the contest into 2 groups: Primary Group (for students in grades 1-5) and Secondary Group (for students in grades 6-12).

The total prize value of the contest is 54 million VND, with 32 prizes divided equally into 2 groups (Primary School Group/Secondary School Group), including: 1 First prize of 5 million VND/Group, 2 Second prizes of 3 million VND/Group, 03 Third prizes of 2 million VND/Group, 05 Consolation prizes of 1 million VND/Group.

In particular, to encourage the support and encouragement from parents and families, Phuong Nam Education Investment and Development Joint Stock Company specially awarded 05 voting prizes/each board, calculated by the number of interactions (Likes, comments and shares) on each entry posted on the SEDIDCO fanpage, each prize worth 1 million VND.
