Quang Tri Tax Department completes implementation of electronic invoices for each sale for petroleum business activities

As of March 24, 2024, 100% of petrol stations in Quang Tri province have implemented electronic invoices (E-invoices) for each sale. This is the result of a period of effort and struggle by the collective leadership and civil servants of the Quang Tri Tax sector.

Immediately after receiving directives from the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Finance, the General Department of Taxation, and the Provincial People's Committee on strengthening the management and use of electronic invoices for petroleum business and retail activities, the Quang Tri Tax Department has actively disseminated, guided, and resolved problems arising for enterprises, retail stores, and petroleum businesses in the province to issue electronic invoices for each sale and connect data with tax authorities.

The Tax Department has organized to disseminate to civil servants and employees in the entire industry the direction of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Finance, and the General Department of Taxation to clearly understand the importance of implementing electronic invoices for each sale in the retail business of gasoline.

At the same time, the Tax Department has promoted the dissemination of the contents of the Prime Minister's Official Dispatch, the Ministry of Finance's Directive, the General Department of Taxation's Directive and the regulations on issuing invoices for each sale for retail gasoline businesses according to Decree No. 123/2020/ND-CP of the Government. In particular, focusing on diversifying dissemination solutions to consumers to clearly understand the benefits, responsibilities and effectiveness of implementing regulations on invoices when buying and selling goods and providing services.

Develop a specific implementation plan and roadmap, assigning specific tasks and targets to each civil servant assigned to manage petroleum business organizations and enterprises in the area to guide, urge, and coordinate daily with units (network operators) providing electronic invoice services to grasp and promptly handle any problems of enterprises during the implementation process.

Coordinate with service providers on e-invoices adapted to each business, discuss and propose solutions on information technology infrastructure that best meets the needs of providing e-invoice services to customers, and prepare human resources during the implementation period. Request service providers to focus all resources, support, guide, and install e-invoice software to ensure continuity and consistency during the implementation process.

Timely advise the Provincial People's Committee to issue directive documents on strengthening management, inspection, supervision and implementation of electronic invoices for retail petroleum activities in the area. Establish a standing team to deploy the issuance of electronic invoices for each sale to enhance monitoring capacity, promptly guide and support taxpayers to handle problems during the implementation process.

To ensure the implementation progress, the Provincial Tax Department and its affiliated tax branches have organized direct dialogue conferences with organizations and enterprises trading in petroleum to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process; organized meetings with relevant authorities such as: Provincial Police, Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Science and Technology, Market Management Department to discuss the most effective implementation solutions.

Establish interdisciplinary working groups and delegations consisting of functional agencies to inspect the implementation of electronic invoices for each sale at petroleum trading establishments, and strictly handle violations.

With the focus and determination of the Quang Tri Tax Department and related units, up to now, 110/110 retail gasoline stores in the area have successfully implemented electronic invoices for each sale. According to statistics from the Large Enterprise Tax Department (General Department of Taxation), as of March 24, 2024, the Quang Tri Tax Department is one of 14 units nationwide that have completed 100% of the progress of implementing electronic invoices for each sale for gasoline retail business activities.
