On the afternoon of September 5, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam held a meeting to deploy plans to prevent and respond to storm No. 3 (international name: storm Yagi).
Based on the forecast information of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting at 1:00 p.m. on September 5 about the impact of storm No. 3, it is assessed that this is a very strong storm, with a high level of natural disaster risk, complex developments, and the potential to affect and threaten the safety of operations at airports.

Specifically, Van Don International Airport (Quang Ninh) temporarily stopped receiving and operating aircraft from 4:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on September 7. Cat Bi International Airport (Hai Phong city) temporarily stopped receiving and operating aircraft from 5:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on September 7.
Noi Bai International Airport (Hanoi) stops receiving and operating aircraft from 10:00 to 19:00 on September 7. Tho Xuan Airport (Thanh Hoa) stops receiving and operating aircraft from 12:00 to 22:00 on September 7.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requires the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation (VATM) to be responsible for announcing appropriate aviation information according to current regulations and operating flights to ensure absolute safety.
For the Northern Airport Authority, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requires the airport authority to be responsible for inspecting and supervising the safety of operations at airports according to regulations.
According to the assessment of the Aviation Meteorological Center of Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation, Van Don and Cat Bi airports from the night of September 6 to the morning of September 7 will be affected by the storm, visibility can be reduced to 1km in storms with strong gusts of wind. Noi Bai and Tho Xuan airports from the afternoon of September 7 to the night of the same day will be affected by storms, visibility can be reduced to 1.5km in storms with strong gusts of wind.
