Provincial Customs Department and Provincial Market Management Department signed coordination regulations.

On the afternoon of August 28, the Provincial Customs Department and the Provincial Market Management Department held a conference to review coordination regulations No. 588/QCPB-QLTT dated April 16, 2009 in the fight against smuggling, counterfeit goods, intellectual property violations, and trade fraud (referred to as Regulation No. 588) and to sign coordination regulations for the coming time.

Leaders of the Provincial Customs Department spoke about coordination work at the conference.

In compliance with Regulation No. 588, in recent times, the Provincial Customs Department and the Provincial Market Management Department have actively coordinated closely and supported each other in performing their tasks. Based on the actual situation in the localities, the functional forces of the two units have regularly inspected and controlled the localities well; preventing the formation of large-scale smuggling, transportation, and harboring of smuggled and counterfeit goods in the localities.

At the same time, the two sides have regularly and closely exchanged information in a proactive, responsible and legal manner, ensuring that cases of smuggling, counterfeit goods, intellectual property infringements and trade fraud are promptly detected and strictly handled in accordance with the law; avoiding overlap and ensuring absolute safety for people, weapons and equipped vehicles. Thereby contributing to ensuring security, economic, political and social situations and creating a healthy and fair business environment.

Leaders of the Provincial Customs Department and the Provincial Market Management Department commended collectives and individuals with achievements in implementing the coordination regulations.

Implementing Regulation No. 588, the Provincial Customs Department and the Provincial Market Management Department have achieved the following specific results: Exchanging 333 valuable information sessions to serve the implementation of professional tasks; organizing over 700 sessions of propaganda for businesses, business households, and people in border areas; arresting and handling 107 cases of smuggling and trade fraud...

Representatives of the provincial Customs Department and the provincial Market Management Department signed a coordination regulation in the coming time.

In the spirit of frankness, openness, and discussion of the results achieved, as well as pointing out the limitations, the Provincial Customs Department and the Provincial Market Management Department agreed that in the coming period, they will continue to strengthen coordination in information exchange, propaganda, dissemination of legal education, patrols and controls to prevent, arrest and promptly handle violations of the law. The two sides will also maintain and strictly implement the regime of regular and ad hoc meetings; develop a joint patrol and control plan; further diversify the forms of coordination with local authorities; annually organize a preliminary review in a rotating manner to promptly reward collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the coordination work between the two forces and strictly handle and discipline individuals and collectives lacking a sense of responsibility in the coordination work.

On this occasion, the Provincial Customs Department and the Provincial Market Management Department organized awards for collectives and individuals with achievements in implementing the coordination regulations.
