(Dan Tri) - Graduating with a bachelor's degree in Romania and then returning to Vietnam to study for a master's and doctorate, Ms. Nguyen Hong Phuong is the youngest female associate professor at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology in 2024.
Dr. Phan Hong Phuong, born in 1986, is the youngest female associate professor in the 2024 appointment of professors and associate professors of the University of Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University).

Ms. Phan Hong Phuong is from Tan Dan commune, Duc Tho district, Ha Tinh province.
Ms. Phuong graduated in 2010 from the University of Petroleum in Ploiesti, Romania, majoring in chemical engineering, specializing in refining and petrochemicals.
She then returned to Vietnam to study for a master's degree at the University of Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University) and graduated in 2012.
In 2020, also at the University of Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University), Ms. Phan Hong Phuong received a PhD in chemical engineering.
Since returning to Vietnam, Ms. Phan Hong Phuong has been working and studying at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. She is currently a lecturer in the Department of Physical Chemistry Engineering, Faculty of Chemical Engineering.
Up to now, the youngest female associate professor at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology in 2024 has published 46 scientific articles, of which 32 are in prestigious international journals.
Her research directions include CO2 and CH4 conversion on Ni-based metal catalysts; research on manufacturing nanomaterials oriented towards environmental treatment applications.
During his career, Dr. Phan Hong Phuong won a number of awards such as the title of Outstanding Teacher of Ho Chi Minh City in 2012; received a certificate of merit for excellent completion of scientific research topics under the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Science and Technology Incubator Program for the period 2017-2018; and an encouragement prize at the 26th Ho Chi Minh City Technical Innovation Contest...

Two new female associate professors of the same generation as the 8X of the University of Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University) are Associate Professor, Dr. Ta Thi Minh Ngoc, born in 1982 and Associate Professor, Dr. Huynh Thi Hong Diem, born in 1984.
The youngest associate professor appointed this time at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology is Dr. Le Vu Ha, born in 1987, from the Department of Chemical Engineering. Dr. Le Vu Ha was also the valedictorian of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology in 2010.
Up to now, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology has 14 professors and 131 associate professors.
