In Binh Duong, an 82-year-old woman was sitting inside her house when her family's pitbull suddenly attacked and fatally bit her.

On the evening of May 17th, after dinner, the daughter of 82-year-old Dang Thi Van, residing in Binh Thang ward, Di An city, opened the iron cage to take her approximately 30 kg pitbull dog for a walk in front of her house.
At that moment, Mrs. Vân was sitting inside the house shouting loudly, and the dog rushed in and bit her in the face. Relatives nearby ran in to intervene, pulling the dog away, but it was too late; the victim died about two minutes later.
The police in Di An City have arrived to examine the scene and conduct an investigation. In addition to the Pitbull, the family also owned a German Shepherd.
Pitbulls are a breed of dog originating from the Americas, commonly kept as pets in Vietnam. They are known for their aggressive nature and rank among the most dangerous dog breeds. Recently, there have been a series of incidents in Binh Phuoc, Thanh Hoa, Thai Nguyen , and other provinces where pitbulls have fatally attacked people.
