Song Chu Company Limited (abbreviated as Song Chu Company) is a 100% state-owned enterprise, with the function and task of managing, exploiting and protecting irrigation systems with a total of 940 officers and employees in 18 districts and cities (including 8 mountainous districts). The system of works assigned to manage includes 76 dams, 204 pumping stations with 495 pumps of various types; 8 large drainage systems Ngoc Giap, Quang Chau, Truong Le, Kenh Than... to serve irrigation and drainage for nearly 140,000 hectares of cultivated land. In addition to the main tasks mentioned above, the company also supplies domestic water and water for power generation in the area and industrial parks.

In 2024, basically all irrigation systems managed by the company will operate safely, water resources will be managed effectively, meeting the needs of socio-economic sectors. For the Bai Thuong system, the company has coordinated well with the Irrigation Investment and Construction Management Board 3, Cua Dat Hydropower Plant, Xuan Minh Hydropower Plant, Bai Thuong Hydropower Joint Stock Company to plan water intake through hydropower plants, adjusting monthly plans to suit the water requirements of the Bai Thuong irrigation system and downstream. For the Muc and Yen My river irrigation systems and other lake and dam systems, the company will develop irrigation plans and set up specific and detailed irrigation schedules for each stage and period, ensuring compliance with reality.

In 2024, the company has irrigated and drained agricultural production on an area of ​​130,759 hectares; the value of public irrigation service products reached 117.4 billion VND; water supply for industrial production and daily life reached 45.167 million ^m3 /year; revenue from water supply for industrial production, daily life, and power generation reached 56.7 billion VND; construction maintenance reached 47,900 works; regular self-repair was 15,950 works... In 2024, the company performed well in natural disaster response.

With the goal of managing, exploiting and operating irrigation systems effectively and safely, directing and operating irrigation and drainage activities scientifically and flexibly to ensure adequate water supply for agricultural, industrial and domestic production and other tasks, in 2025, Song Chu Company sets out 7 key tasks and solutions, such as: Continuing to proactively develop and effectively implement detailed irrigation and drainage plans and schemes for each crop, for each canal, each project, in accordance with reality. Improving the efficiency of management and operation of irrigation systems. Maintaining, repairing and repairing projects. Improving the capacity to respond to natural disasters, applying science and digital transformation. Regularly reviewing the area and irrigation and drainage structure of each unit and signing contracts and accepting the correct area. Coordinate with local authorities to propagate and disseminate regulations on the protection of irrigation works. Effectively implement solutions to control waste sources and discharges into water sources, especially domestic and industrial wastewater...
