According to Decision 93 issued on January 5, 2024, the Ministry of Education and Training recognizes the levels of the Pearson English International Certificate (PEIC) as equivalent to the levels of the 6-level foreign language proficiency framework for Vietnam.

Specifically, according to the decision of the Ministry of Education and Training, the levels of the PEIC certificate are officially recognized as equivalent to 6 levels of the 6-level foreign language proficiency framework for Vietnam as follows:

PEIC English standard recognition is equivalent to the 6-level foreign language proficiency framework - 1

The PEIC certificate is an international English proficiency standard that includes 4 skills (Listening - Speaking - Reading - Writing) for students and working people. The PEIC test is divided into 6 levels corresponding to the 6 levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), helping to closely assess the ability and progress of learners through each stage of language proficiency improvement.

PEIC certificates are awarded by Pearson Education Group, one of the oldest and most prestigious educational organizations in the world and also the largest examination board in the UK.

The PEIC exam is widely held in many countries around the world and this set of certificates is recognized by businesses, universities as well as government agencies in Europe, America, Asia, Africa, including the UK's Office for the Regulation of Qualifications and Examinations (OFQUAL), the Italian Ministry of Education, the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs...

An outstanding advantage of the PEIC certificate set compared to other popular international English certificates in Vietnam is the smoothness of the assessment scale and flexibility for test takers.

The PEIC certificate is divided into 6 levels, which are 6 separate exams, each level corresponding to a competency level from A1 to C2 on the CEFR Competency Framework. Therefore, candidates can choose to take the exam at an exact competency level, suitable for their individual aspirations and language abilities.

In addition, the PEIC test is based on real-life language situations, close to English learners, and uses familiar question formats that are easy for test takers to access.

The PEIC test also has a consistent structure across the six levels, which helps learners become familiar with the types of exercises and build confidence in using the language naturally, providing a positive and encouraging experience for test takers on their journey to mastering the language.

In Vietnam, the PEIC certificate is organized by EMG Education - a strategic partner of Pearson Education Group. EMG Education and Pearson have been approved by the Ministry of Education and Training to jointly organize PEIC certificate exams in Vietnam according to Decision No. 868/QD-BGDDT dated March 22, 2023.

It is known that compared to current international English proficiency certificates in Vietnam, the PEIC certificate has the lowest fee for a test of 4 skills: Listening - Speaking - Reading - Writing.

Current PEIC exam fee: 1,200,000 VND/candidate.
