The Government Inspectorate has just announced the decision to inspect the responsibility for performing public duties of cadres, civil servants and public employees in handling administrative procedures and providing public services to people and businesses at the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Ministry of Transport and the People's Committee of Dong Nai province.
The announcement ceremony was chaired by Deputy Inspector General of the Government Le Sy Bay. Also attending were Mr. Nguyen Danh Huy, Deputy Minister of Transport; Mr. Vo Van Phi, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Le Vu Tuan Anh, Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment; and representatives of leaders of relevant departments and branches.

According to the decision of the Government Inspectorate, the inspection period lasts from June 15, 2021 to November 30, 2023. When necessary, related contents can be inspected before or after the inspection period.
The inspection period is 45 actual working days at the unit from the date of announcement of the inspection decision, excluding holidays as prescribed by law.
The inspection team consists of 12 members, led by Mr. Vu Quoc Cong, senior inspector, Deputy Director of Department I of the Government Inspectorate.
At the announcement ceremony, Deputy Minister of Transport Nguyen Danh Huy, along with representatives of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, affirmed that they will strictly comply with the inspection decision and are ready to cooperate with the inspection team in providing records and documents upon request.
On the side of the inspection agency, Deputy Inspector General of the Government Le Sy Bay directed the inspection team to develop a focused, key inspection plan, concentrating on the contents according to requirements.
Mr. Bay emphasized that the inspection results need to answer questions such as: are administrative procedures at the units still cumbersome or not, do they cause difficulties for people and businesses or not, have administrative discipline been strictly implemented or not?...
In addition, the leader of the Government Inspectorate also noted that the inspection team needs to properly implement the guidelines and conclusions of the Prime Minister at the 5th meeting of the Government's Steering Committee for Administrative Reform, to answer the questions raised.
Mr. Bay affirmed that the Government Inspectorate always accompanies ministries, branches, provinces and cities in resolving administrative procedure problems, especially sensitive areas related to people and businesses.
The Deputy Inspector General of the Government requested that units subject to inspection assign focal points to work with the inspection team, promptly provide complete documents and files, and create all favorable conditions to help the inspection team successfully complete the assigned tasks.

Inspecting public service responsibilities nationwide
Previously, as Thanh Nien reported, the Government Inspectorate issued a plan to conduct a thematic inspection of the responsibility for performing public duties of officials and civil servants nationwide.
The plan aims to evaluate the performance of public service responsibilities of officials and civil servants, especially in some key sectors and fields with many pressing issues in handling administrative procedures and providing public services; at the same time, to recognize good and creative practices to have solutions to replicate nationwide; promptly detect shortcomings or violations to propose remedial measures.
The inspection results will be summarized and reported to the Prime Minister on the current status of the implementation of public duties by officials and civil servants; determining the nature, level of violations, causes, responsibilities of agencies, organizations, individuals and recommending measures to handle violations (if any); amending policies and mechanisms, removing obstacles in organization and implementation...
According to the plan, the Government Inspectorate will conduct inspections at 6 ministries, including: Planning and Investment, Finance, Transport, Natural Resources and Environment, Health, Education and Training and 3 localities, including: Bac Ninh, Dong Nai, Da Nang.
Inspectorates of ministries, ministerial-level agencies, and government agencies will conduct inspections at units under ministries, ministerial-level agencies, and government agencies.
