Previously, in Decision No. 525/QD-TTg dated May 15, 2023, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh transferred and appointed Mr. Tran Tien Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Lai Chau province for the 2021-2026 term, to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Justice.
Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Party Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Justice, Minister of Justice Le Thanh Long expressed his gratitude for the close leadership and direction of the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Central Organizing Committee and other Party committees and the Government leaders in the work of perfecting the leadership of the Ministry of Justice after Deputy Minister of Justice Phan Chi Hieu was appointed to the position of President of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences.
Minister Le Thanh Long said that the Ministry of Justice must take on an increasing amount of work, with high requirements for quality and progress, so the consolidation and addition of leadership to the Ministry of Justice in the current context is very timely to share with the Party Executive Committee and the Ministry of Justice's leadership in the leadership, direction and organization of the implementation of assigned tasks.
Minister Le Thanh Long assessed that comrade Tran Tien Dung is a well-trained person, has a master's degree in international law from Kyushu University, Japan, and has had a long time of dedication and maturity at the Ministry of Justice.
Comrade Tran Tien Dung has worked at the Ministry of Justice since 1998, holding many positions, from specialist, secretary to Deputy Minister, Secretary to Minister, Deputy Chief of Office, Chief of Office of the Ministry of Justice, Deputy Minister of Justice and in February 2019, he was trusted by the Party and State to mobilize and appoint to the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Lai Chau province.
During more than 4 years working in Lai Chau locality, as Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee, he has made many contributions to the socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security of the province, and has been assessed by the Central agencies, Party Committee, people and directly by the Provincial Party Secretary as having excellently fulfilled his tasks.
The Minister hopes and believes that the new Deputy Minister Tran Tien Dung, with his rich experience and practical work, will soon re-approach the job as quickly as possible, continue to promote his capacity and achievements to join the Party Executive Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Justice in leading, directing and excellently completing the tasks assigned by the Party, State and people in the justice sector.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the new Deputy Minister Tran Tien Dung, born in 1975 in Nam Dinh province, expressed his emotion at officially returning to the Ministry of Justice after exactly 4 years and 3 months of rotation to work in Lai Chau province according to the policy of the Party and State.
In his new position, Deputy Minister Tran Tien Dung pledges to continuously cultivate, practice, learn, and effectively apply practical knowledge to policy and law making and good management of assigned fields; always unite with the Party Executive Committee and the Ministry's leadership to strive to excellently complete assigned tasks.
