This is the 12th year the award has been held, to honor outstanding contributions to the development of the livestock industry.
Vietstock Awards 2024 will be held within the framework of Vietstock exhibition, taking place from October 9 to 11 at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) to promote cooperation, progress and foster innovation in all aspects of the livestock industry.
Mr. Pham Kim Dang, Deputy Director of the Department of Animal Husbandry, said that in 2023, Vietnam's agricultural sector achieved an impressive growth rate of 3.83%, the highest since 2019. The livestock sector alone had a growth rate of 6.38% compared to 2022, with a total output of fresh meat reaching about 6.8 million tons.
“Not only meeting the basic needs of 100 million Vietnamese people, Vietnam's livestock and animal feed processing industry has grown strongly over the past 20 years to be on the world livestock map. The export value of livestock products in 2023 reached 515 million USD, an increase of 26.2% over the previous year. Animal feed exports were 1.5 billion USD," Mr. Dang announced impressive figures.

Therefore, according to Mr. Dang, Vietstock Awards is a testament to the continuous development of the Vietnamese livestock industry. The awards will continue to promote innovation and quality improvement throughout the industry, honoring businesses and organizations that have made positive contributions to the Vietnamese livestock industry.
This year's awards include eight categories:
1. Technology for livestock waste treatment and management
2. Linking according to closed value chain
3. Developing a circular economy
4. Biosafety farming
5. Production of livestock waste treatment products
6. Production of livestock equipment
7. Animal feed production
8. Livestock production
Participating enterprises will be evaluated based on a variety of criteria, including legal compliance, scale of operation, technical efficiency, social responsibility, environmental friendliness, sustainable development and value chain linkage. A professional evaluation board, including representatives from government agencies, associations and enterprises in Vietnam, will score them on a 100-point scale.
The Vietstock Awards 2024 ceremony will take place on the evening of October 9, 2024. Representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will award prizes to up to 30 best enterprises.
Vietstock 2024 - 20 years of innovation in Vietnam's livestock industry
Vietstock 2024, an international exhibition specializing in livestock, animal feed, aquaculture and meat processing, will take place from October 9 to 11 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC). This year's event marks the 20th anniversary of Vietstock accompanying the development of Vietnam's livestock industry.
Vietstock 2024 is organized by Informa Markets, in collaboration with the Department of Livestock, and is expected to gather more than 400 exhibitors from 50 countries and regions, attracting about 13,000 visitors.
The program includes a wide range of activities such as product and technology exhibitions, technical conferences and seminars, business matching programs, and specialized pavilions. Some of the prominent conferences will focus on important industry issues such as biosecurity, renewable energy, nutrition, animal welfare, and greenhouse gas emission control.
