Announcement of appointment of 13 Deputy Heads of the Investigation Police Agency of Hanoi City Police

Kinhtedothi - On March 8, 2025, Hanoi City Police (CATP) held a ceremony to announce the decisions of the Ministry of Public Security to appoint 13 comrades as Deputy Heads of the City Police Investigation Agency as leaders of the City Police Investigation Departments.

Major General Nguyen Thanh Tung, Deputy Director - Head of the City Police Department's Investigation Police Agency, chaired the conference.

According to the City Police Department, implementing the policy of the Party and State, the Ministry of Public Security on continuing to arrange and streamline the organization of the local police apparatus to operate effectively and efficiently, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation; from March 1, 2025, the City Police Department has terminated the operation of the district-level police investigation agencies.

Before implementing the new organizational model, the City Police Department organized an assessment of more than 80 comrades who are Heads and Deputy Heads of District-level Police Investigation Agencies and leaders of Police Investigation Departments to propose to the Ministry of Public Security to consider and appoint the position of Deputy Head of the City Police Investigation Agency, after implementing the new organizational model of the City Police Department, from March 1, 2025.

Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Nguyen Thanh Tung congratulated the comrades who were appointed as Deputy Heads of the City Police Investigation Agency. The Deputy Director of the City Police affirmed that the 13 comrades appointed are all commanders with qualifications, capacity, and experience in crime investigation and handling, have a firm grasp of legal regulations, and are capable of leading and directing the organization of investigation activities.

Regarding the tasks in the coming time, Major General Nguyen Thanh Tung requested: Deputy Heads of the Investigation Police Agency must be proactive, innovative and creative in their work; direct the reassignment of Deputy Heads and investigators and immediately compile and check the files of cases and incidents being resolved; urgently check and compile the files of cases and incidents whose investigation period is about to expire to direct the implementation so that litigation activities are not interrupted or interrupted.

Major General Nguyen Thanh Tung presented decisions and flowers to congratulate the appointed comrades.

Study the circulars, instructions, and new regulations of the Central Judicial Branch and the Ministry of Public Security on the investigation and handling of crimes to direct and guide investigators and investigation officers to properly implement them. At the same time, participate in developing regulations, working procedures, and new instructions on the investigation profession of the City Police; proactively detect shortcomings, difficulties, and obstacles in applying legal regulations into practice.

Coordinate with the Deputy Heads of Departments in charge of the area and the Chief of Commune Police in directing the work of receiving, classifying, and handling information about crimes and investigating criminal cases, not allowing wrongful convictions or letting criminals escape. Hit hard, hit hard, and destroy organized crime groups, openly and rampantly committing crimes that cause panic among the masses.

Closely follow key tasks and annual work targets according to the force system to monitor progress and implementation results, especially difficult targets, reduce the number of suspended cases and incidents; strengthen law enforcement and prevent violations in litigation activities; do not let violations become widespread and prolonged over the years.

Major General Nguyen Thanh Tung emphasized: "Focus on building close coordination and regularly exchanging with internal affairs sectors to remove difficulties and obstacles in leading and directing investigation activities. At the same time, we must proactively seek opinions from the superior Investigation Police Agency to evaluate and apply investigative measures in accordance with the law."

At the ceremony, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Thanh Tung, Chief of the Office of the Criminal Police Department - Permanent Deputy Head of the Criminal Police Department of the City Police, on behalf of the appointed comrades, seriously received and understood the instructions and assigned tasks of the Head of the Criminal Police Department of the City Police and pledged to overcome difficulties, unite with the collective leadership of the unit, innovate, be creative, and excellently complete the assigned tasks. At the same time, coordinate with the functional departments of the City Police to advise the Board of Directors of the City Police Department and the Head of the Criminal Police Department of the City Police Department on solutions and measures to improve the quality of law enforcement in investigation activities; build the City Police Department's Criminal Police force to be increasingly disciplined, elite, and modern to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
