On June 28, Ho Chi Minh City Police held a ceremony to announce the decision on personnel work for the positions of Head of Economic Police Department (PC03) and Head of Criminal Police Department (PC02).

Accordingly, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thanh Hung, Head of the Criminal Police Department, was transferred to the position of Head of the Economic Police Department.

Colonel Pham Dinh Ngoc, Chief of District 12 Police, was transferred to the position of Chief of Criminal Police Department, replacing Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thanh Hung.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thanh Hung (42 years old, from Dong Anh, Hanoi) is a veteran of the criminal police force; later, he was assigned to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Economic Police Department - Dong Nai Provincial Police, then Deputy Head and Head of the Criminal Police Department - Ho Chi Minh City Police.

In all the above positions, Lieutenant Colonel Hung left his mark with outstanding crime-solving achievements. Lieutenant Colonel Hung was awarded the Military Exploit Medal by the President four times, and many certificates of merit from the Ministry of Public Security, the Public Security, and the People's Committees of provinces and cities.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thanh Hung is one of the typical faces at the 9th Patriotic Emulation Congress.

Colonel Pham Dinh Ngoc (50 years old, from Thanh Hoa), also grew up in the Criminal Police force. Previously, Colonel Ngoc held the position of Deputy Head of the Criminal Police Department - Ho Chi Minh City Police, then was appointed as Head of District 12 Police. Now Colonel Ngoc returns to the position of Head of the Criminal Police Department.
