ONE OF THE THREE UNITS WITH THE TOP PERFORMANCE IN THE COUNTRY
Implementing the order of the Minister of Public Security and the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, the Director of the Provincial Police Department issued a telegram, directing the police force of the whole province to simultaneously launch an attack to suppress crimes to ensure security and order before, during and after the Lunar New Year, starting from 8:00 a.m. on December 15, 2023.
On January 22, 2024, the Provincial Police Director issued and implemented Project 373 to establish Working Groups to organize armed patrols to prevent and combat crimes and law violations. At the same time, the launching ceremony was held and a 30-day, night peak period of armed patrols was launched to ensure security and order during the 2024 Lunar New Year.
After 2.5 months of deployment, in the field of national security, the Provincial Police have ensured stability, preventing the emergence of complicated, passive, and unexpected problems. In the field of crime prevention and control, the Provincial Police have achieved many outstanding achievements.
From December 15, 2023 to February 29, 2024, the Provincial Police investigated and solved 245/260 criminal cases, reaching a rate of 94%. Typically, the Provincial Police broke up a special case, successfully eliminated 2 criminal gangs operating in Cambodia using high technology to call impersonating judicial agencies to commit online fraud, transnationally, arrested 55 subjects, estimated to have appropriated more than 700 billion VND; verified, investigated, and successfully arrested the subject who caused the robbery at Viettinbank Cua Lo...
In addition, the provincial police discovered and arrested 197 cases, 885 subjects committing crimes and violating the law on gambling; discovered and arrested 308 cases, 402 subjects, confiscating 43.4 kg of drugs of all kinds; discovered 401 cases, 551 subjects committing crimes and violating the law on fireworks, confiscating nearly 8.5 tons of fireworks of all kinds; discovered and arrested 1,297 cases, 1,538 subjects, confiscating 20 tons of animals, animal products of unknown origin, more than 800 tons of minerals, 1,900 individuals of wild and rare animals...
The work of arrest, detention, investigation, criminal handling, criminal techniques, professional records, criminal judgment execution and judicial support is ensured to be in accordance with the law. The administrative management of social order has achieved many high results.
The movement "All people protect national security" continues to be seriously and effectively implemented. In particular, responding to the program "Tet for the poor - Spring of Giap Thin 2024", Nghe An Police mobilized officers, soldiers and benefactors to donate more than 7.2 billion VND.
With its outstanding achievements, Nghe An Provincial Police have been repeatedly commended and rewarded by the Ministry of Public Security and the Provincial People's Committee. At the end of the year, Nghe An Police were recognized by the Ministry of Public Security as one of the three units with the highest achievements in the country.
PROMOTING HEROIC TRADITION, ENSURING STABILITY FOR THE PROVINCE TO CONTINUE DEVELOPMENT
Speaking at the conference, warmly congratulating the collectives and individuals who achieved high achievements during the peak period, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung highly appreciated the responsibility, great efforts, and drastic actions of the entire Provincial Police force during the peak period. Especially the leadership role of the Party Committee Standing Committee, the Board of Directors and personally Major General Bui Quang Thanh - Director of the Provincial Police.
The provincial police have seriously implemented the policies and directions of the Ministry of Public Security; are responsible for advising the province to deploy the work of ensuring security and order before, during and after the 2024 Lunar New Year in the province. During the implementation process, the provincial police have had many creative, flexible, effective measures and achieved high results.
In particular, the Provincial Police have implemented Project 373, establishing an armed task force to patrol and suppress crimes and law violations. Although newly deployed, Task Force 373 has created a good image in the Party, Government and People; demonstrated the brand and power of the Provincial Police; created trust and pride for the people and was a fear for criminals; affirmed the tradition of the Nghe An Provincial Police force in the homeland of President Ho Chi Minh.
Acknowledging, evaluating, and warmly congratulating the outstanding achievements that the Provincial Police have achieved in the past time, especially during the peak period, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the officers and soldiers of the Provincial Police from the provincial to the communal level have shown their responsibility, not afraid of difficulties and hardships, working through Tet, mobilizing all forces to ensure security and order in the area during the Lunar New Year 2024, in line with the spirit: "Stay awake so that people can sleep well, stay awake so that people can have fun, take the happiness of the people as the joy and reason for living". The Lunar New Year of Giap Thin 2024 is one of the peaceful Tet holidays, with security and order guaranteed.
In the coming time, emphasizing that Nghe An is a key area in terms of security and order, with many potential complex and sensitive issues, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung requested the Provincial Police to promote the achieved results and perform well the 5 key tasks.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Provincial Police to continue to promote proactiveness, creativity, and pioneering in advisory work, well implementing the direction of the Ministry of Public Security, the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee in the task of ensuring security and order, maintaining stability in the province, ensuring the harmony of interests between socio-economic development and the task of ensuring security and order; creating an open environment for the province to promote investment attraction and economic development.
On the other hand, the Provincial Police continue to be proactive, grasp the situation early, from afar, from the grassroots; promptly handle emerging issues regarding security and order; in which, focus on national security and religious security. The Provincial Police advise the province to resolve existing issues, not creating hot spots; support key projects in the province; respond to non-traditional security situations; protect the safety of targets, delegations of Party and State leaders, and delegations visiting and working in Nghe An.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung requested the Provincial Police to continue to fight fiercely against all types of crimes in the spirit of "hitting hard and hitting hard", creating a truly safe environment; continue to maintain and expand the model of clean drug areas at the commune and district levels; not to let complicated gangs and groups arise in terms of social order; and fight fiercely against all types of crimes. Based on the summary and operation process, the Provincial Police will continue to maintain and expand Working Group 373 in the coming time.
In addition, the Provincial Police need to continue to pay attention to and strengthen coordination between the police forces at all levels with departments, branches, organizations, especially with the people, to build a people's security posture, especially at the grassroots level in ensuring security, order and fighting against all types of crimes.
The head of the Provincial People's Committee also requested the Provincial Police to resolutely advise and organize the implementation of Resolution No. 12 of the Politburo; promote the tradition of Nghe An Police as a heroic unit of the People's Armed Forces in the homeland of the Soviet Union, the homeland of beloved President Ho Chi Minh. Nghe An Provincial Police must be an exemplary unit, leading the People's Police force in all aspects of work.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung emphasized that the provincial leaders will continue to pay attention and create favorable conditions for the Provincial Police to perform their tasks; at the same time, strengthen the leadership and direction of all levels, sectors and localities, closely coordinate with the Provincial Police force to ensure security, order and maintain stability for the province to achieve its development goals in the coming time.
On this occasion, the Minister of Public Security decided to award many Certificates of Merit, Certificates of Merit, and rewards; the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit; the Director of the Provincial Police awarded Certificates of Merit to collectives and individuals of Nghe An Provincial Police for their outstanding achievements during the peak period and in the movement to fight and prevent crime.
