The sea area in Son My (Ham Tan) besides the typical features of Binh Thuan “blue sea, white sand, yellow sunshine” has many interesting and attractive things. Every time the tide goes down, the wider white sand strip is exposed to the golden sunlight, with many curves of sand stretching out.
Not only that, along the coast are gently sloping sand dunes that stretch for hundreds of hectares, covered with green trees. Therefore, the Son My coastline is rarely eroded by waves in all four seasons and always retains its pristine beauty. More interestingly, when the sunset falls, hundreds of tiny crabs lying under the sand emerge and run around as if racing with each wave. Many travelers who come to Son My for the first time to relax and swim in the sea find it strange and also run after and catch the crabs, falling sideways and back, holding the tiny crabs in their hands like a "trophy" and laughing together. In the summer, resorts exploit the pristine beauty of the "blue sea, white sand" paradise, and at night set up tents on the clean sand for travelers to light a fire, camp and relax, enjoying the airy, fresh space of the Son My sea.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyet, living in Tan Nghia town, took her two children to visit her hometown in Son My on the weekend and shared: “Son My beach is very clean, so I rented a tent for the whole family to have fun, stay on the beach, and experience fishing with fishermen early in the morning, being close to nature, it feels very interesting. During the day, many groups of tourists organize sports games on the beach; drive ATVs on the sand dunes; the resort restaurant organizes parties, grilled seafood dishes are fragrant…”.
Nature has endowed Son My with a fairly wide and long beach, inside the gently sloping sand dunes are pine forests, deep green coconut forests protecting the Son My fishing village. The beach here is not mixed with fish markets, shops, and food courts like many other places, so the sea is clean, the water is clear and blue, you can see the bottom a meter deep. Travelers sitting on the balcony of the lovely wooden villa - Son My Beach can watch the fishing boats swaying on the water or admire the many baskets of fishermen casting nets along the shore, floating on the blue sea. In the distance, the fishing boats returning overnight make the sea surface bustling and lively. The image of a peaceful coastal village, a pristine, clean, beautiful and romantic beach has remained in the memories of many travelers when coming to Son My.
