Elementary school teacher disciplined for tutoring at home

(Dan Tri) - A female teacher at Tran Phu Primary School in Ha Tinh city was disciplined for organizing extra tutoring at home for first graders.

On January 3, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nu, Principal of Tran Phu Primary School (Ha Tinh City, Ha Tinh Province) said that she had decided to discipline teacher NTT, the homeroom teacher of grade 1, with a party and civil servant reprimand for organizing extra classes at home.

As Dan Tri reported, on the evening of December 4, 2024, the inspection team of the Department of Education and Training (DET) of Ha Tinh city received a report that teacher T. organized illegal extra classes for primary school students.

On December 5, the City Department of Education and Training invited teacher T. and the Principal of Tran Phu Primary School to discuss and gather information. During the meeting, the female teacher confirmed that the information reported by the parents was true and made a written report.

According to the leader of the Department of Education and Training of Ha Tinh city, Ms. T's behavior violated the cases of not being allowed to teach extra classes of the Ministry of Education and Training.

The Department of Education and Training requested the Principal of Tran Phu Primary School to establish a Disciplinary Council to review and take disciplinary action against violating officials; review the responsibilities of the head and related individuals.
