(Dan Tri) - Spending money to buy 500 roses, Ms. Ha went to the markets to meet mothers and sisters to congratulate them on March 8. The warm hugs and tears she received from "strangers" made her choke up.
On the occasion of International Women's Day, March 8, Ms. Pham Thi Ngoc Ha (commonly known as Ms. Ha Pham), an English teacher in Ninh Binh, bought hundreds of roses and went to markets in Ninh Binh province to give to mothers and sisters to celebrate Women's Day. The English teacher shared that she had prepared 500 roses to give to mothers and sisters at markets in Ninh Binh city and Tam Diep city. "I met and gave flowers to each person, wishing them to always be radiant, healthy and lucky," said teacher Ha.
"Every woman deserves to be respected and loved. I also want to send a little love and warmth to the women who have contributed to making our lives more beautiful without many conditions," Ms. Ha Pham continued to confide. Each woman Ms. Ha met and gave flowers to was different, the vegetable seller, the pork seller, the chicken seller, the fish seller, the elderly, the middle-aged. They were all hard-working women, working hard day and night to earn a living. "The common point of the women I met, shared with, gave flowers to and sent good wishes to was that they were all surprised because it was the first time they received fresh flowers on the holiday of half the world," Ms. Ha said. The female teacher continued: "The emotions of the mothers and sisters were all surprised and very happy, feeling very warm, smiling gently and simply. They all did not know me but hugged me tightly and expressed their warm gratitude."
Receiving fresh flowers from Ms. Ha, a stranger, many women were moved. One shared that she had never received flowers before. Another confided that the last time she received flowers on March 8 was 36 years ago. "There was a woman who cried just because of a flower I gave her on this occasion," Ms. Ha said. After giving more than 500 flowers to "strangers", Ms. Ha posted the pictures on social media and received a "shower" of compliments from everyone. "Ordinary women, who work hard every day to make a living, suddenly receive flowers that make them smile like flowers. Looking at that smile, all the hardships and sadness of life disappear," Ms. Linh Nga in Ninh Binh City expressed. A vendor who has been selling goods at the market for decades choked up: "After years of working at the market to make a living, meeting so many people every day, today I finally received flowers at work, I was extremely surprised. My children are not at home so no one gave me flowers. The whole market received flowers today, everyone was laughing and happy beyond words."
Ms. Ha Pham shared that the idea of giving flowers to her mothers, aunts, and grandmothers came from the thought: "Every woman deserves to be respected and loved". "This is the first time I have made mothers, grandmothers, and grandmothers receive, appreciate, and be happy with just a small gift on this special occasion. I am very happy and pleased to have done something meaningful. On the following holidays, I will try my best to continue doing this extremely meaningful work", Ms. Ha expressed.
