Recently, the young teacher and her school won 3 first prizes in the "Reviving milk cartons" contest on Classification, collection and recycling of milk cartons organized by the Provincial Youth Union in collaboration with the Department of Education and Training of Binh Duong. From discarded paper milk cartons, the teacher and her colleagues invented toy cars, made hats to wear, cut flowers to decorate photo frames, etc. As for plastic milk cartons, she turned them into lanterns or poured cement after placing water pipes in the middle to create a stand for traffic signs or as targets for ring toss games, etc.

Ms. Tuyen turns used milk cartons into toys and utensils.

Ms. Tuyen said that for her, child-rearing is not just a simple job but also a mission to care for and love, bringing special attention to each child. However, at first, like many other teachers, she encountered many difficulties. “At first, I simply thought that preschool teachers only taught children to sing, dance and add a little knowledge. However, when I actually started working, I understood my role as a multi-talented mother, caring, nurturing, sometimes like a doctor, sometimes like a cleaner...”, Ms. Tuyen said. Besides, at first, some parents did not put their trust in young teachers like her. “Children at a young age sometimes come home from school and are not taught correctly, causing parents to have wrong thoughts, views or distrust. At those times, I felt very sorry for myself. Thinking that my job was already hard, and having to endure unnecessary pressure from parents, many times I wanted to give up,” Ms. Tuyen shared. However, with her love for children and the encouragement and help of her family and colleagues, Ms. Tuyen has overcome everything and loves her job more and more.

After being used, plastic milk cans are creatively turned into lanterns, classroom corner decorations, etc. by teachers.

As a preschool teacher, Ms. Tuyen also got used to having to talk a lot and clean up after the children. “As for the children's toilet, at first I was not used to it. When I asked if they had gone to the toilet, the children did not answer. My colleagues and I had to go to each child's sleeping area and pull out each pair of pants to smell. At those times, I wondered what I was and what I was doing,” the teacher laughed. Ms. Tuyen always believes that “children are like a mirror, the more we love them, the more love we will receive in return.” “I always tell myself to try my best, to work with all my heart and soul, and surely parents will understand, share and have a more correct view of me,” Ms. Tuyen said.

The young teacher trained students to participate in the provincial-level "Pretty and Good Doll" contest, winning 1 First Prize, 1 Second Prize and 1 Third Prize; trained students to participate in provincial-level painting, winning 1 First Prize, 4 Second Prizes and 6 Encouragement Prizes. She also actively supported, advised and guided schools to effectively implement the content of designingeducational environments according to the viewpoint of "Building schools with children as the center".
