Less than 2 weeks after submitting her application, Tan Na Trieu Man immediately received an 8-year scholarship and is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of California (Santa Barbara, USA).
Ton Nu Trieu Man was born in 2002 in Hue and graduated as salutatorian in Applied Mathematics from International University (Ho Chi Minh City National University) with a GPA of 92.4/100.
Recently, 10X continued to receive a scholarship to study directly for a PhD at the University of California - a university in the world's top 50 for innovation.

Zhao Min decided to apply for the scholarship quite late. She just graduated from university in November 2024, while most schools only accept applications between December and January. This made Min's application preparation process more urgent than ever.
“It was a stroke of luck to be notified of my admission less than 2 weeks after I applied. Studying Applied Mathematics at the International University also helped me gain a lot of experience, making my profile stand out,” said Trieu Man.
This achievement makes her the fastest person ever to receive a scholarship at the International University, other cases usually take from 6-12 months.
Having just graduated and pursuing a doctorate, 10X Hue explained that she chose to pursue Quantitative Finance - a field where most people have high education and degrees. The female student also seriously considered that this field cannot stop at university level, it requires in-depth research.
Once a student majoring in Physics at Quoc Hoc High School in Hue, Trieu Man said that the transition to Math was not too difficult, as these two subjects basically focus on logic. Being able to study a subject that you like and are passionate about is a happy thing.
"Many people still have prejudices, thinking that Mathematics is only for men, and that women are more suitable for social sciences, but for me, gender is not a factor when deciding on a major. If you have logical thinking, feel free to choose," Trieu Man said.

Sharing about her learning method, the girl from the Ton Nu family said that it is important to understand the basic knowledge right in class, then push herself to learn more deeply through application. "My method is to master all the basic knowledge. For example, from 10 theorems and laws in Mathematics, I will connect them together, use them to solve big problems and issues", the 10X shared.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Minh Quan, Deputy Head of the Mathematics Department, International University (Ho Chi Minh City National University) was deeply impressed with Man's sharp thinking, quick critical thinking and creative application of mathematical concepts.
According to Mr. Quan, in class, Trieu Man often asks profound questions to better understand mathematical theorems and models, and then finds ways to apply them in practice. In the final project of the Statistics subject, Trieu Man researched the topic "The impact of macroeconomic indicators on the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the United States", achieving a perfect score of 100/100 in this subject.
“Trieu Man possesses the qualities necessary for a successful academic and research career. Her sharp analytical skills, combined with a systematic approach to problem solving, help Man handle complex problems accurately and creatively,” commented Mr. Quan.

Next September, Trieu Man will go to the US to study. She is currently trying to complete her work at a Vietnamese investment fund. After the handover, the 10X will return to Hue with her family, before starting a new journey.
"With the decision to study abroad, I hope to become more mature, develop more and expand my relationships. After that, I will be able to focus my efforts on in-depth research, achieve the standards to graduate and receive a doctorate as soon as possible," Trieu Man said. After graduating with a doctorate, she hopes to use the knowledge and experience she has accumulated to contribute to science and to her country.
