Fans of Hanoi Police Club hang 'red books' in the stands, opponents may be fined?

According to Clause b, Article 67 on Violations of organization - Disciplinary regulations of the Vietnam Football Federation (amended and supplemented in 2023), the club organizing the match will be fined from 15 million VND to 70 million VND if: " Fans and spectators use means (panels, posters, banners, loudspeakers, horns, drums...) to cheer inappropriately, unhealthy, offensively, offensively, insultingly, or vulgarly towards the Vietnam Football Federation, the tournament organizer, the tournament organizing committee, match officials, the opposing team... ".

On the evening of March 13, before the match between Viettel The Cong Club and Hanoi Police Club began, a poster with an image similar to a "red book" appeared in the fan area of Hanoi Police Club. The poster read: " Red book HN10101956 - Hanoi Police Football Team - Home Stadium: Hang Day - Issued: 1956 ".

Posters with offensive content appeared at Hang Day Stadium.

The organizers of the match of Viettel The Cong Club immediately asked the group of fans who hung the poster to take it down. At the same time, the staff of Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) asked the match supervisor to record it in the report.

The above poster is not intended to cheer for the two teams participating in the match, and contains provocative and offensive content related to issues outside the match's professional field. If it is determined that it has violated the above-mentioned error, the home team, Viettel The Cong Club, will be the team that will receive a maximum fine of up to 70 million VND.

It is not difficult for fans to understand why the above poster appeared. Recently, The Cong Viettel Club, Hanoi FC and Hanoi Police Club have been involved in a dispute regarding the right to use Hang Day Stadium. The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) requires that only a maximum of 2 teams can choose Hang Day Stadium as their home stadium.

The meeting on March 11th organized by VFF with 3 clubs did not reach a final result. Hanoi FC was determined not to give in to the remaining 2 teams. Previously, there was information that Hanoi FC was looking for a solution to name the stadium Ha Dong. The Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports is the unit that decides which teams stay and which teams leave Hang Day Stadium next season. The answer will be given before the end of the 2023-2024 season.
