DDoS Threats Are Growing
According to a report by CMC Telecom, DDoS attacks are on the rise, increasing by 32% in the period from April to December 2024 compared to the same period last year. Notably, the Banking and Finance industry accounts for 40% of the total number of attacks.
This is an industry that requires the highest security standards, along with other frequent targets such as Education and hosting providers. Not only does it disrupt services, DDoS also causes financial damage and severely affects the reputation of the organization. This points to worrying vulnerabilities in today's organizations. Therefore, implementing comprehensive protection measures is necessary to protect business operations and reputation.
To address these challenges, CMC Telecom and Nexusguard introduce the ANTI-DDoS solution, supported by DDoS Scrubbing Centers. These are network traffic processing centers designed to protect the system from DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attacks. When a DDoS attack occurs, network traffic will be redirected to these Centers.
According to CMC Telecom experts, ANTI-DDoS provides multi-layered protection, including applications, L3/L4 network layers and DNS services. This comprehensive approach ensures that all potential vulnerabilities are minimized, service disruptions are prevented and critical infrastructure is protected. With Nexusguard's advanced Bastions technology, domestic DDoS Scrubbing Centers ensure minimal latency, providing fast and reliable defense. At the same time, this solution strictly complies with data sovereignty regulations, keeping all sensitive data within Vietnam.
“By partnering with CMC Telecom, we are able to provide a DDoS solution tailored to the needs of Vietnamese businesses, combining robust defense capabilities and compliance with local standards. This helps organizations improve their ability to respond to the growing cyber threats,” said Donny Chong, Product Director of Nexusguard.
Protecting Vietnam's digital future
Mr. Tran Nhat Minh, Head of Information Security Operations & Response Department, CMC Telecom, commented: “Given the increasing sophistication of DDoS attacks, businesses need to adopt a proactive prevention strategy. Not just stopping at immediate protection, organizations need to have a long-term cybersecurity plan and incorporate it into their strategy, including regular information security risk assessments, raising awareness of DDoS and investing in cost-effective DDoS protection technology to stay ahead of threats.”
According to Mr. Minh, to ensure the integrity and availability of infrastructure data, maintain the trust of customers and partners, businesses can cooperate with CMC Telecom and Nexusguard. Support from two leading partners will protect business operations against DDoS threats with experts and ANTI-DDoS solutions combined with DDoS Scrubbing processing center.
