70 years ago, under the leadership of the Party, President Ho Chi Minh and General Vo Nguyen Giap, our army and people created a Dien Bien Phu Campaign that “resounded throughout the five continents and shook the world”. After 56 days and nights of arduous and heroic fighting, our army destroyed the entire Dien Bien Phu stronghold of the French colonialists, contributing significantly to the collapse of the colonial system of imperialism on a global scale.
