With the decisive nature for the championship, the match between Hanoi Police Club (CAHN) and Thanh Hoa Club was the only match applying VAR in the final round of V-League 2023 yesterday afternoon (August 27). Before this match, CAHN Club was in control, needing only 1 point to win the championship. Meanwhile, the Thanh team, although no longer having a chance to compete for the championship, entered the match with determination, to nurture the hope of finishing 3rd overall.

In the first half, Thanh Hoa Club played even better, creating many situations to threaten CAHN's goal but could not find a goal. In the 42nd minute, CAHN Club took the lead 1-0 thanks to a header from foreign player Gustavo. Thanh Hoa Club also showed that they are not an easy team to bully and had an equalizer 1-1 by Bruno Cunha in the second half. This was also the final result of the match.

Closing the 2023 V-League, CAHN Club won the championship with 38 points, goal difference of +18. Hanoi Club finished in second place with the same 38 points but lower goal difference (+13). According to V-League regulations, if two teams have the same number of points, goal difference is the first sub-index considered for ranking. Thus, CAHN Club won the 2023 V-League championship thanks to being better than Hanoi Club in goal difference.

CAHN Club won the ticket to V-League from the 2023 season.
