"This victory helps the whole team reduce pressure, we played football with the style of play we believe in," coach Alexandre Polking shared after the 5-1 victory of Hanoi Police Club (CAHN Club) over Hai Phong Club in the 24th round of V-League, taking place at 9:15 p.m. on June 20.
Pouring a rain of goals into Hai Phong FC's net thanks to Jefferson Elias (double), Quang Hai, Thanh Long and Joseph Mpande (own goal), CAHN FC rose to sixth place.
Mr. Polking added: "After two unsuccessful matches, we still played with the planned style. This result helped CAHN Club to relax a lot. This victory is a step forward for the next match."

After Quang Hai scored his eighth goal of the season, Coach Polking commented: "I am proud of Quang Hai. You can see how much he runs, defends, accelerates, and plays well. That comes from Quang Hai, of course he received encouragement from the president of CAHN Club. I also talked to him. Quang Hai is a great player of CAHN Club".
Mr. Polking also talked about the CAHN club's rules when players can stay up all night to watch EURO: "With the coaching staff, we do not set any rules that require players to watch or not, to let the players be free. Watching top football is a good way for players to learn. I also sleep less, often buy coffee with my assistant to watch. The players played well in this match and I think they should limit watching to rest."
On the other hand, coach Chu Dinh Nghiem of Hai Phong team was not sad even though his team lost heavily. "This was a good match, both teams played openly because there was no pressure to avoid a play-off spot. The players played with dedication, I think CAHN Club took advantage of the opportunities more effectively. After conceding the second and third goals, Hai Phong Club collapsed but I pushed forward to continue playing, not wanting to stop. That's why we were counter-attacked. CAHN Club played well," Nghiem said.
When asked about the EURO 2024 finals taking place at a tense time for the V-League and how the Hai Phong coaching staff reminded the players, Mr. Nghiem shared: "This is the end of the season, playing continuously so the players are tired. I reminded the players to watch the match early, avoid staying up late, and stay healthy."
Regarding the gambling problem, Mr. Nghiem said that the club will remind: "They need to understand that when pursuing a football career."
