After the opening speeches of the two leaders of the Vietnamese and Russian National Assembly/Parliament, under the direction of First Vice Chairman of the Russian State Duma IIMelnikov and Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Chairman of the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Parliamentarians' Group Nguyen Khac Dinh, the delegates listened to the contents of the discussion on: The current state of bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and the Russian Federation (presented by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, Chairman of the Vietnam Subcommittee at the Vietnam-Russia Intergovernmental Committee on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation).

Next, speakers from the agencies presented on the topic: Maintaining sustainable positive momentum of trade turnover and solutions to overcome the current imbalance in foreign trade, presented by Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy Maxim Anatolyevich Topilin and Chairman of the Economic Committee of the National Assembly of Vietnam Vu Hong Thanh.

On the topic of ensuring the effectiveness of joint projects in the fuel and energy complex, delegates listened to the report of the First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Energy Zavalny Pavel Nikolaevich; Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi presented a report on cooperation in the construction sector... along with many other important and practical contents.

In recent days, the National Assembly Chairman, with a busy schedule, has held meetings with political parties in the Russian Federation, the Russia-Vietnam Friendship Association and the Association of Russian Veterans who fought in Vietnam; large Vietnamese corporations and enterprises in Russia as well as friendly corporations and enterprises investing and doing business in Vietnam; met and talked with officials and employees of the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia, the Vietnamese community...

The message of the Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam repeatedly affirmed: The Russian Federation is always a leading comprehensive strategic partner in Vietnam's foreign policy. The Party, State and people of Vietnam attach great importance to the friendship and loyalty; appreciate the valuable support and assistance that the people of the former Soviet Union and Russia today have given to Vietnam. Vietnam has always consistently considered the Russian Federation as a leading important partner and wishes to promote cooperation with the Russian Federation in all fields, for the common interests of the two peoples, for peace, stability and development in the region and the world.

In addition to the talks and co-chairing of the Third Session of the Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Committee with the Chairman of the State Duma of Russia and the Chairman of the Federation Council, Comrade Tran Thanh Man and the leaders of the Russian Federation signed a new Cooperation Agreement between the National Assembly of Vietnam and the Federation Council, along with a Plan with very specific coordinated actions. During the talks, the discussion atmosphere was open and sincere, and everyone agreed on the important role of inter-parliamentary cooperation in promoting the removal of difficulties and obstacles, proposing practical and effective solutions to realize the contents that both sides are still interested in. The National Assembly of Vietnam has coordinated with the Government of Vietnam to find solutions to soon resume direct flights between the two countries. Many current issues were discussed and mentioned in the meetings.

On this occasion, speaking to reporters, Mr. Ivan Melnikov, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of Russia, emphasized: The relationship between our two countries is in the development stage. The great driving force for this is the visit of Russian President Putin to Vietnam in June this year, with 15 important documents signed in many different areas of cooperation. The task set for the parliament is to participate in realizing these cooperation agreements. "I think the third session during the visit of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man was very successful. At this session, there were representatives of both the Vietnamese and Russian governments, which helped to specifically and immediately resolve many major, current issues" - said the First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of Russia.

On the afternoon of September 8 (local time), within the framework of an official visit to the Russian Federation, at the headquarters of the Vietnamese Embassy in Moscow, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and a high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly met and talked with officials and staff of the Embassy and representatives of the Vietnamese community in the Russian Federation.

At the meeting, in a warm and friendly atmosphere, representatives of the Vietnamese community and overseas students in Russia expressed their joy in welcoming the Chairman of the National Assembly and the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly to the official visit to the Russian Federation; expressed their emotion and welcomed the Chairman of the National Assembly to visit the Russian Federation at the time when the Vietnamese community in Russia was celebrating the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Association of Vietnamese People in Russia.
