Hundreds of students in Ho Chi Minh City attended the conference "Growth and economic relations between the San Francisco Bay Area and Vietnam" to connect the young generation of Vietnam with the "AI capital" organized by Saigon International University recently held in Ho Chi Minh City.

In response to the question of what to do to step out into the world, from many students, Dr. Sean Randolph, Senior Director of the Bay Area Council Economic Institute, said that language skills are very important to participate in the global economy.
Next, Mr. Sean Randolph said briefly: "What you need to step out into the world is cultural skills, cultural knowledge of the business context, language skills and the ability to understand the legal environment."
To do the above, according to experts from Silicon Valley, is the role of universities. Schools must find a way to attract talent and train good human resources.

Mr. Sean Randolph said that universities play a very important role in promoting innovation and supporting young people to start businesses. Many schools have specialized programs to provide education and training in entrepreneurial skills.
Through startup accelerator programs, students have the opportunity to connect with investors and potential customers, helping them gain market access, especially in places like Silicon Valley.
In Vietnam today, according to Mr. Sean Randolph, many universities have developed programs to support students with startup ideas.
These students may already have ideas or technologies they want to test in the market, and university is the best place to equip them with the skills they need to turn those dreams into reality.
Mr. Alex Foard, Director of Global Business at the Bay Area Council's Center for Economic Research, advises Vietnamese students to know their "stopping point" when stepping out into the world.
According to him, international business is about doing business with another culture, so don't try to do business with the whole world. Each person needs to know their own strengths to choose where they are interested, focus on that and become an expert on how to do business there.

For Vietnamese students, Alex Foard said the ideal is to choose a place that has great value for Vietnam. It should be a place you can stick with, a long-term partner with whom you can build a career.
In particular, this expert emphasized to students: "Don't try to do everything, don't try to go everywhere. Although the world is very big and everything can be interesting, you will realize that only when you really focus on a culture and business style that you are interested in will there be many opportunities to expand to other places."
