Andrew Ng is a global expert in artificial intelligence (AI), online education. He founded and is currently the CEO of Landing AI, author of 200 machine learning papers. In 2023, Andrew was listed in the list of the 100 most influential people in the world in AI by Time magazine.
Speaking at FPT Techday 2023 today (October 24), Mr. Andrew Ng said that in recent years, AI has gone beyond all imagination, surpassing what people expected and were excited about.
During the development process, this technology is increasingly useful in many fields, especially education and generative AI. For example, FPT has applied AI to education since 2017 and has achieved many results. In advertising, Google also applies AI to collect huge costs from customers...
"When we talk about AI capabilities, we talk about opportunities. Revenue and value from AI bring about important changes in learning by helping learners make great progress and continue to develop in the future. Along with that is the development of other factors such as generative AI. A simple example is the process of uploading images will increase in quality and reduce time" - the expert said.
Innovative businesses and startups have had and are having the opportunity to pursue AI in Vietnam and around the world. With AI Stack, many businesses have participated such as AWS, Google, FPT… under the open AI platform, bringing hope to developers. Opportunities are available for all parties, large businesses or startups, to apply tools to development.
According to Mr. Andrew Ng, the technological revolution will bring great efficiency, changing the way people work as well as the way they travel in their lives. However, moving from text to technology is a long step.
"We feel Vietnam's strength in the fields of education and community services to develop AI. Opportunities are abundant" - the leader of Landing AI expects.
According to FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh, artificial intelligence is the heart of the 4th industrial revolution. In the near future, there will be an explosion in computer vision.
"We are sometimes a bit dreamy. But we understand that the heart of the fourth industrial revolution is artificial intelligence. The fundamental difference between today and tomorrow is artificial intelligence," Mr. Binh shared.
The biggest annual technology event of the year, FPT Techday 2023, with the theme “35 years of creating happiness”, took place from October 24 to 25 at the National Convention Center. The program attracted the participation of more than 10,000 direct visitors, including more than 2,500 technology experts, digital transformation experts and business owners from dozens of countries around the world. Many names came from the Fortune 500 list.
Many big names such as Schaeffler, Konica, AFLAC, SC Ventures, Olympus, Landing AI... will demonstrate to the public advanced technology platforms and products.
