The series of festivals 'Living green and living healthy with students' officially opened at the first destination, Dong Nai University, with many meaningful activities, including answering the question of whether eating instant noodles is good for health.
Held at many universities in the South with a variety of attractive activities, the series of festivals "Living green and living healthy with students" organized by Thanh Nien Newspaper and Acecook Vietnam Joint Stock Company has provided a useful playground for young people to learn more about green and healthy lifestyles, thereby making appropriate changes in their eating and daily living habits to become better and better.
On November 23, the campus of Dong Nai University was more bustling than usual with the appearance of many booths and hundreds of students attending the "Live green and live healthy with students" festival. Here, students not only get to participate in challenges about green and healthy living, but also have the opportunity to receive direct advice from experts to improve their nutrition, body shape, etc.
In the hall, students had the opportunity to listen to the sharing from the leading names of the green and healthy living trend such as businesswoman, model Helly Tong and master, doctor Truong Nhat Khue Tuong. How to pursue a lifestyle close to nature or tips to build quick but nutritious student meals were specifically shared by experts. In the photo, a student shares green living tips with Ms. Helly Tong
Another activity that attracted a large number of students was the "Golden Bell" contest hosted by Master, Doctor Truong Nhat Khue Tuong, lecturer of the Department of Nutrition, University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ho Chi Minh City. This was an opportunity for students to review the knowledge about nutritional meals that Dr. Tuong spent nearly an hour sharing in the topic "What do we eat to be healthy and beautiful?"
Students of Dong Nai University were excited by many interesting questions about nutrition and health that they have often paid little attention to.
Champion of the "Ring the Golden Bell" contest on nutrition and won a prize of 2 million VND and a gift from the sponsor, female student Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet, Faculty of Primary and Preschool Education. "I didn't review anything before the contest, I just listened to the sharing from the speaker and tried to remember. In the final round, there was only me and one other friend and luckily I won with the answer that the oil in the noodle package is vegetable oil. With this prize money, I will spend it to treat my supporters and use it to learn more foreign languages", Nguyet shared.
Minh Nguyet also expressed her excitement at having the opportunity to participate in many different booths about health, waste classification or sports... "Here, I learned a lot of new knowledge about nutritional diet, how to live green, live healthy. One highlight is that I used to think that instant noodles would affect my health such as acne or indigestion, but actually it is not, because the noodles and seasoning bags also add some necessary minerals," Nguyet said.
MSc. Dr. Truong Nhat Khue Tuong added that instant noodles will mainly provide starch for students' meals. However, to ensure adequate nutrition, students must supplement other nutritional groups such as protein, fat, vitamins and minerals through meat, vegetables or milk... "To prepare a balanced and safe meal, you must balance the 4 nutritional groups in combination with 5/8 food groups," Dr. Tuong noted.
Also within the framework of the event, students enthusiastically competed to see who could eat a pack of noodles the fastest. As one of the winners, male student Hoang Dinh Minh Khanh, from the Foreign Language Department of Dong Nai University, said he was very happy not only because he won first prize but also because he had the opportunity to join in the exciting atmosphere. "I also work out at the gym, so the advice from the doctor was extremely helpful, especially the fact that I had to change my habit of only eating chicken breast or fruit for breakfast because it would not provide enough nutrition for my muscles," Khanh shared. "I also learned how to eat instant noodles but still be healthy by combining other substances such as protein, fiber..."
The booth "Green knowledge, try your hand at sorting garbage" also attracted many students to line up to try their screening skills. Here, the organizers have prepared pieces of paper with names of different types of waste such as lemon peels, onions, plastic chairs, spinach, stainless steel pots, old books, crystal vases... Each student will receive 5 pieces of paper with the requirement to classify them into 3 types of waste including recyclable, inorganic and organic.

Nguyen Ngoc Thuy Tram, Faculty of Foreign Languages, shared that instant noodles are often associated with the prejudice that they are "bad" foods, easily causing heat in the body, causing acne, and even various diseases. "However, after listening to experts, I learned that if I eat instant noodles with eggs, add vegetables and some other foods, it will be nutritious. I also know how to adjust my meal portions and dosage more appropriately, instead of eating 'instinctively', eating whatever is available like before," Tram said.
After participating in games and listening to advice from experts at all booths, students also received many lovely gifts such as tote bags, spoons and forks...
At the event, students also participated in the "Lucky Draw" program with valuable prizes such as Asus Vivobook 15X1504ZA laptop, HAVIT H667BT Bluetooth headset, Polymer 10000mAh 12W AVA+ JP299 power bank, Delites Z102 500ml stainless steel thermos and many other gifts from Acecook Vietnam.
