On November 5, at the University of Finance and Marketing, an international conference on business on digital technology platforms took place with the participation of many domestic and international scientists.
With the topic "Digital transformation models", Professor Alex Coad, Waseda University (Japan), presented on digital transformation models and stages of the growth index framework of big data business models.
Accordingly, phase 1 focuses on business monitoring and preliminary analysis to create economic value; phase 2 uses predictive analytics to better understand customers and operations; phase 3 optimizes business through prescriptive analytics; phase 4 monetizes data by creating new revenue streams; phase 5 creates a culture that encourages innovation and sharing.
Associate Professor Dr. Huynh Luu Duc Toan, School of Business and Management, Queen Mary University (UK), presented the topic "Markets, regulations and the digital economy" about the challenges and policies related to digital business platforms. According to him, platform businesses face many challenges from competitors, additional partners, employees and the government. Competition policy forces companies to innovate, differentiate and produce efficiently, while monopoly policy allows companies to earn high profits but causes losses to consumers and society. Tax issues and the impact of digitalization on the contract labor market, the risks of cryptocurrencies in energy investments and financial markets... were also mentioned.
