Live program celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army

At the press conference on the afternoon of December 16 announcing a series of key programs to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA), Mr. Do Thanh Hai - Deputy General Director of VTV - said that from the beginning of 2024, the organizers had planned a series of key programs to express respect and gratitude to generations of soldiers who contributed to the glorious history of the country. The two live programs on this occasion include the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day live at 9:00 a.m. on December 20, and the Historical Path will be broadcast live at 8:10 p.m. on December 21.

A series of key programs and works depicting Uncle Ho's soldiers aired on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army.

The three chapters The Road to Independence, The Road to Reunification and The Road to the New Era include music videos, art performances, animations, reports and conversations to depict the 80-year journey of building, fighting and growing up of the heroic army. The character of the baby Hong appears throughout the program - a real character in the memoir From the People by General Vo Nguyen Giap. Mr. Lai Bac Hai Dang - Deputy Head of the Entertainment Program Production Department, Vietnam Television - said that The Road to History combines drama with music to bring fresh colors. The organizers mobilized thousands of participants and effects to show the most realistic images. The program brings together artists such as People's Artist Quang Tho, Ta Minh Tam, singers Pham Thu Ha, Duc Tuan, Thu Thuy... Many documentaries on the military theme, exploiting many different approaches to portray the image of soldiers of the Vietnam People's Army such as Marching under the flag , Because they are soldiers , Staying in Phong Chau, Living in the heart of the people .

Besides movies and art programs, some TV games about soldiers create a new playground.

The special documentary Father and Son of Soldiers was carefully invested in, through the memories and stories of military families, including families of generals, sketching a picture of Vietnam's military history from 1944-2024. Besides the artwork, the audience encountered the color of soldiers' uniforms in many programs with unique colors such as 7 blue musical notes, bringing a warm family atmosphere of military families playing and singing together. Military Region 1 is where soldiers demonstrate their strength to conquer each round of competition, overcoming each difficult challenge. On this occasion, news programs and digital platforms are also given priority for a series of key programs about the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army.

On this occasion, the movie Red Dawn directed by People's Artist Thanh Van was also broadcast so that the audience could see more clearly the heroic feats and fighting spirit of the first female driving platoon on the Truong Son route.
