NEU's ICAEW CFAB integrated accounting and auditing program meets FIBAA standards

(Dan Tri Newspaper) - The Institute of Accounting and Auditing, National Economics University (NEU), has just been awarded quality certification according to the standards of the international accreditation organization FIBAA for 4 majors and training programs.

This includes a Bachelor of Accounting and Auditing program taught in English, integrated with the ICAEW CFAB international certification.

The Institute of Accounting and Auditing at NEU has received certification for quality standards from the international accreditation organization FIBAA.

FIBAA is a Swiss government-run quality assurance organization with offices in both Germany and Switzerland, responsible for the accreditation, evaluation, and development of educational institutions and programs worldwide.

The fact that the two Bachelor of Accounting programs in English, integrated with the ICAEW CFAB international certificate, and the Bachelor of Auditing program in English, integrated with the ICAEW CFAB international certificate, offered by the Institute of Accounting and Auditing (SAA), National Economics University (NEU), have been awarded quality certification according to FIBAA standards - a prestigious international education and training quality accreditation organization - further affirms the outstanding quality of this integrated training program.

The Bachelor of Accounting and Auditing program in English, integrated with the ICAEW CFAB international certificate, has been implemented by SAA - NEU in cooperation with ICAEW since 2017. A key advantage for graduates is receiving a dual degree: a Bachelor of Accounting and Auditing in English from NEU and an ICAEW CFAB international certificate in finance, accounting, and business.

The FIBAA quality certification further affirms the superior quality of this integrated training program.

The pass rate for CFAB students at NEU is high.

Despite being an internationally recognized quality program, the results of the first few training courses show that the students' pass rates have consistently been high. According to many students enrolled in the program, their own efforts, the instructors' modern teaching methods, and the support of ICAEW Vietnam's advisory team have helped them study effectively, making passing their courses achievable.

Khuc Luu Hoang Thong, a former student of class CFAB5 - K63, who twice achieved a perfect score of 100 in Financial Accounting and Management Accounting, said that for the ICAEW CFAB courses, the instructors are highly qualified professionals. In their teaching, the instructors provide many practical examples, making the lessons more interesting and easier to understand.

Welcomed by the labor market

To date, the Bachelor of Accounting and Auditing program in English, integrated with the ICAEW CFAB international certification at NEU, has graduated four cohorts of approximately 250 students. According to statistics, most graduates are now working at multinational corporations, large domestic enterprises, and Big4 firms.

Tran Phuong Diem Hanh, one of the students from the second graduating class with honors, has worked at a prestigious global management consulting firm such as McKinsey & Company in the US and is currently completing her Master's program at the University of Liverpool. She considers it a comprehensive program that meets both academic knowledge and practical experience needs.

Formal training provided by the Institute of Accounting and Auditing at NEU allows the program to leverage its inherent strengths. Furthermore, the ICAEW CFAB is a prestigious, globally recognized professional qualification that helps students compete in both domestic and international job markets.

Currently, many large businesses, especially the Big4 like EY and KPMG, have signed tripartite cooperation agreements with SAA - NEU and ICAEW Vietnam to annually welcome nearly 40 students from the program to participate in summer internships and official internships while they are still in school.

Not only have they been successful domestically, many students who completed this integrated program have gone abroad to work through cooperation programs between ICAEW and partner businesses in the region. Among them, five students are currently working in BDO's International Services Department and have had the opportunity to work at BDO Malaysia, opening up opportunities for them to develop their international careers.

A representative from SAA shared that the Bachelor of Accounting and Auditing program in English, integrated with the ICAEW CFAB international certification, offered by the Institute of Accounting and Auditing, National Economics University, is increasingly attracting the attention of parents and young people. Each year, the number of applicants for the program's admissions increases significantly.
