The program aims to honor military families who overcome difficulties and challenges to carry out the journey to find children, and at the same time announce practical support for infertile families in the military.
MSc. Le Thi Thu Hien, Professional Director of Hanoi Andrology and Infertility Hospital, said that currently, the entire army has about 3,000 infertile soldiers working in many agencies and units under the Ministry of National Defense.
Due to the nature of their work, many soldiers have to work in remote, especially difficult areas, on the border and on islands, with limited living conditions.
Therefore, although the Ministry of National Defense has had support policies, the journey to find children of soldiers still encounters many difficulties, and is in great need of attention and support from organizations and individuals inside and outside the military.
Faced with that reality, with the desire to accompany military families on their journey to find children, Hanoi Andrology and Infertility Hospital in collaboration with the Military Radio and Television Center launched the program "Supporting infertile soldiers - Spreading love" from 2021.
The program provides practical support such as: Free examination, consultation, ultrasound, semen analysis; 20% discount on paraclinical testing costs; voucher worth 3 million VND for families when performing In Vitro Fertilization technique.
In particular, each year, the Hospital also offers 10 free support packages covering 100% of the cost of IVF for 10 military families through application review.
Over the past three years, the program has supported thousands of military families through free and discounted services. In particular, 30 families who received a 100% free IVF support package have had positive results, with 29 healthy babies born, some families are still pregnant or are in the process of treatment.
MSc. Dr. Le Thi Thu Hien shared, these results are not only our happiness but also a testament to the perseverance and constant efforts of infertile families."
Immediately after the program "Supporting infertile soldiers - Spreading love" was widely announced in the media, many profiles were sent in by military families.
The professional council of the Hanoi Andrology and Infertility Hospital and the Military Radio and Television Center worked impartially and carefully reviewed each case to present 10 families with 100% free support packages for in vitro fertilization costs for 2024.
