ANTD.VN - On January 24, the State Bank of Vietnam’s Communications Department coordinated and organized the financial education program “Be Smart with Money” at Le Quy Don Secondary School and Tuyen Quang Province’s Ethnic Boarding High School. The program attracted more than 1,500 students to participate.
Through sharing from experts of the State Bank and practical contest content, the contest "Smart with money" has provided useful and interesting knowledge about Vietnamese currency, some forms of payment, security warnings in non-cash payments to students in a vivid, simple, easy-to-understand and widely spread way.
Thereby, helping students early access basic knowledge about finance, such as: reasonable spending, saving, investing; at the same time, have understanding about money and the history of Vietnamese currency, how to behave with money, know how to appreciate the value of labor, feel the messages about love of labor, humanity, and kindness.

The representative of Le Quy Don Secondary School said that the program received special attention from students and parents of the school, and the knowledge that the program brought was truly useful for the students.
Ms. Ha Thi Hai Yen, Principal of Tuyen Quang Ethnic Boarding High School, also assessed that the students were very serious when learning about basic knowledge and lessons about the value of money. "We believe that the initial concerns will be the foundation for the students to later receive and learn more knowledge and skills about finance."

In particular, through the program, 1,500 books on financial education “Be smart with money – Avoid worries” have reached students.
This is a book by author Le Thi Thuy Sen - Director of the Communications Department of the State Bank of Vietnam, who has 20 years of experience working in the fields of finance, communications, and deposit insurance.
The book is considered a very good learning material for financial education for the community today. Concepts that seem complicated and difficult to understand such as: inflation, deflation, interest rates, exchange rates... have been defined and explained in an easy-to-understand, logical way by the book, integrated into the content of 30 stories in the book.
In the coming time, the SBV Communications Department said it will continue to deploy financial education programs, spread more strongly, implement the National Comprehensive Financial Strategy, target young people... to spread knowledge and smart financial skills, thereby minimizing risks for consumers using the service.
Previously, in order to implement the National Comprehensive Financial Strategy to 2025, with a vision to 2030 in Decision No. 149/QD-TTg dated January 22, 2020, in recent times, the State Bank has focused on and organized many financial education communication programs, such as: Smart Money, Smart Money, Wise Money, the contest Understanding Money, Future Bankers, Understanding Finance, etc.
The programs are highly appreciated for their innovation, creativity and breakthrough in communication.
