Spring Homeland Event Series 2025 in Japan

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Vu Chi Mai, Consul General of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Fukuoka (Japan) said that every time Tet comes, Spring Homeland has long become "an indispensable spiritual food", the largest annual program of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the community of more than 6 million Vietnamese people living, studying and working in more than 130 countries and territories.

In recent years, the Vietnamese community in Fukuoka - Japan has successfully organized many large-scale programs such as: Miss Vietnam - Japan Friendship; Ao Dai Fashion Week in Fukuoka and set 2 global Vietnamese records: The event of forming a map of Vietnam with the largest number of overseas Vietnamese and foreigners wearing Ao Dai; The festival of overseas Vietnamese with the most diverse series of activities connecting the overseas Vietnamese community and welcoming the traditional New Year... The Spring Festival of the homeland is highly appreciated by the government, people and foreign community in Japan and is also the Lunar New Year event held with the largest scale and number of participants in Japan and in the world.

In 2025, there will be many key activities to celebrate the country's major holidays. Following the successes, the Consulate General of Vietnam and the Vietnamese Association in Fukuoka, Japan will organize a series of festival events "Spring Homeland 2025 in Japan". The program's Organizing Committee hopes that through this event, it will promote the image of the country and Vietnamese people integrating into the world, building the image of the Vietnamese community's position of solidarity and development in Japan in particular and the world in general.

"The festival is a meaningful traditional Tet gift for Vietnamese people living abroad. The festival is expected to start from January 4-5, 2025 in Saitama Prefecture, Japan and end in Fukuoka, Japan from January 10-12, 2025. Within the framework of the festival, there will be booths introducing handicraft products, consumer goods, promoting Vietnamese tourism and culture; impressive performances by popular Vietnamese artists, singers and actors," said Ms. Vu Chi Mai.

In particular, in the series of programs "Spring Homeland 2025 in Japan", there are two highlight events: "Miss Culture - International Friendship 2025" and "International Supermodel Kids 2025" in Japan. Entering a new journey, Spring Homeland 2025 in Japan is ready with the mission of spreading good values. The series of events Spring Homeland is not only a traditional national New Year, but also an opportunity to connect the Vietnamese community around the world. This year's program is not only a simple project but also promotes the mission of "Connecting friendship between countries, through unique cultural and artistic activities, trade exchanges and accompanying each other in economic development".

The Vietnamese community in Japan participating in the 2025 Homeland Spring Festival is also the creative subject and the beneficiary of spiritual values, each individual will be a cultural ambassador, a bridge of friendship between Vietnam and Japan. I believe that the 2025 Homeland Spring program will continue to attract a large number of Vietnamese communities in Japan and international friends to participate. This will be a series of activities promoting the beauty of Vietnamese women, traditional cultural values ​​of Vietnam, a country that loves peace, harmony and friendliness."

Also at the program, Mr. Nguyen Duy Anh, Chairman of the Vietnamese Association in Fukuoka, Japan, Deputy Head of the Program Organizing Committee, said that the Vietnamese community in Japan currently has nearly 600,000 people, the second largest foreign community in the world. Of which, the Vietnamese community in Fukuoka has more than 55,000 people. After many years of organizing the program "Miss Vietnam Kyushu", "Miss Vietnam - Japan Friendship" is the largest contest in Japan with hundreds of contestants registered to participate.

Following the success of the "Miss Vietnam - Japan Friendship" contest in 2022, the Consulate General of Vietnam in Fukuoka and the Association of Vietnamese People in Fukuoka (AVF) continue to organize the Miss International Friendship Culture contest 2025 to honor the beauty of Vietnamese women in Japan and other countries around the world.

This is a practical activity, implementing the campaign and honoring the image of “Vietnamese women living beautifully - Living usefully”, the campaign “Vietnamese women for social security, for community life” launched by the Vietnamese Association in Fukuoka; effectively implementing practical movements to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the establishment and development of the AVF Association and aiming to strengthen solidarity, promote development in the good relationship between the two countries of Vietnam and Japan.

The contest also aims to contribute to raising awareness of “Virtue – Intelligence – Fitness – Beauty” of generations in today’s society; at the same time, encourage and motivate Vietnamese women to actively study, practice, participate in social activities, charity activities, have a compassionate and tolerant heart, love their homeland, know how to share and help the poor, children in especially difficult family circumstances.

The Miss Culture - Friendship International 2025 contest not only honors beauty but also emphasizes understanding, cultural connection and friendship between countries.

The contest has the following criteria: Promoting traditional cultural values ​​of Vietnam; Promoting international friendship and cooperation; Developing social projects and community activities; Building and honoring the image of modern women with a combination of beauty, intelligence and compassion; Connecting, cooperating, developing and uniting the network of Vietnamese communities around the world.
