Pepper is considered the main crop of Cam Lo district, especially in Cua area. However, in recent years, the epidemic situation and unfavorable weather have caused many pepper gardens to deteriorate and die. Up to now, the whole district has only more than 75 hectares of pepper (solid).

To continue implementing the project to restore and replant pepper plants on areas that died due to disease and natural disasters, some households in Cam Lo district have started growing pepper seedlings to supply to new planting households in 2024 with a quantity of about 20,000 pots.
Cam Lo district also encourages people to grow pepper on a concentrated scale, with a reasonable irrigation system. Promote production links with purchasing units by establishing cooperative groups to develop pepper in an organic direction; propagate people to produce according to the correct process, ensuring moderate productivity, high quality associated with VietGAP certification to increase competitive advantage, ensuring sustainable and stable development.
Increase the use of Tricoderma products, invest in high-tech applications such as water-saving irrigation to reduce labor costs and increase economic efficiency. For Cam Nghia commune, households with new planting areas of 500 m2 or more will be supported with 1 million VND for garden renovation and 50% of the seed price.
