Focus on developing party members in the "square star" force in Ha Tinh

Thanks to the good work of developing party members in the militia and self-defense force (DQTV), Ha Tinh currently has 30.02% of "square star" soldiers honored to stand in the ranks of the Party, an increase of 2.4% compared to 2020.

Joining the militia in 2017, Mr. Pham Tuan Anh in An Loc village, Thach Chau commune (Loc Ha) actively trained, practiced and coordinated with other functional forces to patrol and control the area, promptly detected and handled many cases of disrupting security and order at the grassroots level. He himself is always conscious of studying, cultivating moral qualities, and training himself to become more and more mature. In recognition of that effort, in March 2023, he was admitted to the Party.

Party member Pham Tuan Anh excitedly said: “I am very honored and proud to be in the Party. This is the recognition of the organization, comrades, and people for my efforts and training over the past years. To be worthy of that trust, I will continue to make efforts, contribute, and participate in performing well the military and national defense (QS-QP) tasks as assigned and mobilized by superiors, especially in the position of Team Leader of the Rapid Response Team of the Thach Chau Commune Militia. Thereby, contributing to building an increasingly strong militia force, supporting effective natural disaster prevention, joining hands to protect peace in the area...”.

Since the beginning of the year, in Ha Tinh City, there have been 3 militiamen and 8 self-defense soldiers who have felt the joy and pride of taking the oath under the Party flag. They are all excellent people, with many contributions in performing professional tasks, training themselves, participating in training and exercises with good results.

Lieutenant Colonel Le Dang Thuong - assistant to the militia and self-defense force of the Ha Tinh City Military Command said: "Every year, we have promptly advised the Standing Committee of the Ha Tinh City Party Committee to strengthen leadership and direction in 15 wards, communes and self-defense units to review, train and admit Party members. Thanks to that, up to now, there have been 1,444 "square star" soldiers who are party members (427 militiamen, 1,017 self-defense forces), accounting for more than 30% of the total militia and self-defense force. This is considered an important resource to build this force to become comprehensively strong."

Not only in Loc Ha or Ha Tinh city, but also in localities throughout the province, they are interested in and take care of the work of developing Party members in the militia and self-defense force, especially in key socio-economic areas, remote areas, and border areas. Accordingly, Party committees, authorities at all levels, and units are always proactive in grasping the Party development resources (especially demobilized soldiers and those with good moral qualities, steadfastness, and enthusiasm for dedication) to have plans to train, foster, and train. The training of Party resources in this force is closely linked to the implementation of military and defense tasks at the grassroots level as well as the political tasks of agencies, units, and localities...

In the first 10 months of 2023, the province admitted 137 new party members to the militia and self-defense force, raising the proportion of "square star" party members to 30.02% (the total number of militia and self-defense forces in the province is 23,088 people, equal to 1.7% of the population). Along with the quantity, localities, units, and military command always attach importance to the quality of party members, pioneering spirit, and exemplary behavior in training, drills, professional work, family economic development, fighting against all types of crimes, protecting the Party, protecting the government, etc.

Colonel Phan Huy Tam - Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command said: “In order to effectively carry out the work of developing the Party in the Militia and Self-Defense Forces, the Party Committee and the Provincial Military Command have proactively advised the Provincial Party Committee to issue directives and resolutions on leading local military and defense tasks; in which, the work of developing Party members is one of the important highlights. During the implementation process, localities and units always pay attention to ensuring the correct principles, procedures and processes according to the Party Charter and instructions of specialized agencies. Thanks to that, the work of developing Party members in the Armed Forces in general and the Militia and Self-Defense Forces in particular has achieved good results.”
