VFF President gives lucky money to Vietnam team before Asian Cup, Coach Troussier says touching words

In the exciting atmosphere of the first days of the new year, VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan, on behalf of the VFF Executive Committee, wished Head Coach Philippe Troussier, the coaching staff and all the players good health and success in achieving their goals. The VFF President emphasized that this is the third time the Vietnamese team has participated in the Asian Cup finals. Once they have passed the qualifying round and entered the finals, the opponents will be stronger and the competition will be very high. Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan hopes that the whole team will promote the strength of solidarity, make every effort for Vietnamese football and continue to demonstrate the highest spirit when entering the upcoming Asian Cup 2023 finals.

On behalf of the VFF Executive Committee, President Tran Quoc Tuan also officially announced to the whole team that Mr. Duong Nghiep Khoi - General Secretary of VFF will take on the role of team leader of the Vietnam team at the 2023 Asian Cup Finals. Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan affirmed that the preparations from the VFF side have been closely monitored and directed by the Executive Committee, ensuring the most favorable conditions for the team to focus on training and competing.

On behalf of the coaching staff and the entire team, head coach Philippe Troussier thanked the VFF leadership for their attention. The French coach said he has complete faith in his players and the team’s preparation. Despite facing great challenges, the team will try to overcome them with the solidarity of the team and the efforts of each individual.

According to the plan, the Vietnamese team will have its final training session on the morning of January 4 before reducing the list to 30 players and moving to Qatar on January 5. In the host country of the 2023 Asian Cup, the team will have a friendly match with Kyrgyzstan on January 9.
