On the afternoon of March 12, under the chairmanship of comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting with the Provincial Business Association and Business Associations.
Co-chairing the conference was Comrade Bui Thanh An - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. Attending the conference were leaders of departments, branches, sectors, localities; leaders of the Party Committee of the Business Bloc; Nghe An Branch of the Federation of Commerce and Industry; Provincial Business Association and Business Associations.
BUSINESSES SUGGEST MANY CONTENT
At the conference, the leaders of the Department of Planning and Investment reported on the status of handling the contents of 12 recommendations under the authority of 8 agencies according to the conclusion notice of the Provincial People's Committee in October 2023.
The recommendations focused on issues of site clearance in Area A - Nam Cam Industrial Park and handover of infrastructure assets of Nam Cam Industrial Park; planning of industrial waste dump in Quy Hop district; policies to support investment projects to build social housing in the province; resolving encroachment on forest land in Nghia Dung commune (Tan Ky district); requesting Vinh City to pay for contracts to provide medical products and supplies to fight the Covid-19 pandemic.
In addition, the Associations and enterprises also proposed to speed up the construction progress of Sao Nam road (Cua Lo town); calculate the additional payment during the time the project was extended in the Cua Tien - Vinh Tan New Urban Area (Vinh city); disburse for projects that have been put into use, investors still owe contractors; pay land auction debts.
At the end of December 2023, the Department of Planning and Investment received 10 new recommendations from the Party Committee of the Enterprise Bloc, the Provincial Real Estate Association and the Vinh City Veteran Entrepreneurs Association. To date, departments, branches and localities have responded in writing to these recommendations.
The petition focuses on the following issues: adjusting the land use planning for phase 2 and recalculating the land rental price at the Nam Vinh Bus Station project; implementing traffic connections at the Minh Anh - Do Luong Laundry Factory Project; investment policy to relocate the textile factory of Hoang Thi Loan Textile Joint Stock Company to Chau Nhan commune (Hung Nguyen); considering re-adjusting the land rental price of Tau Quoc and Nghe An Construction Joint Stock Company in Trung Do ward (Vinh city).
Associations and businesses recommended speeding up the determination of compensation assets at Trung Do Hoang Mai Brick Factory; leasing land in Trung Do Ward (Vinh City) from Hung Hung Joint Stock Company; arranging sources to pay off outstanding debts for new rural construction in Nghi Lien Commune (Vinh City) for businesses; adjusting and abolishing regulations on restricting truck traffic on Nguyen Sy Sach Street (Vinh City).
At the conference, the Provincial Business Associations clarified the recommendations and discussed the responses of the sectors and localities; at the same time, they requested the province to increase its attention to small and medium enterprises; monitor and inspect the settlement of the recommendations of enterprises. The leaders of the departments, branches, sectors and localities discussed and clarified the recommendations of enterprises.
Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Thanh An exchanged views on issues that businesses proposed regarding law enforcement, planning, land, investment capital payment, connection, and requested sectors, localities, and businesses to clearly understand legal regulations and properly implement legal regulations.
PROACTIVELY GRASP AND SOLVE DIFFICULTIES AND PROBLEMS OF ENTERPRISES
Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung said that, in recent times, the general policy of the province has always been to create the most favorable conditions for businesses and investors to carry out production and business activities in the area.
Emphasizing that Nghe An is a province with a large population, large area and many difficulties, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that the province's socio-economic situation in recent times has had positive changes and believes that it will have more remarkable development in the coming time.
In 2023 and the first two months of 2024, the socio-economic development results achieved were very positive, notably production activities, budget collection, and investment attraction. Actively contributing to the above results are the role of enterprises and investors, including enterprises of the province.
In the past and in the coming time, the province will focus on implementing key tasks to create conditions for development. In particular, the province is developing a Resolution on piloting the addition of a number of specific mechanisms and policies for Nghe An to implement Resolution No. 39 of the Politburo, in order to create more resources, motivation, and favorable conditions for the province's development and the business community will certainly benefit.
"Resolution No. 39 is not a miracle cure, what is important is the efforts and struggles of the province, including the business community, based on actual conditions," emphasized Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung.
Sharing the difficulties of enterprises, especially small and medium enterprises in the past time, the head of the Provincial People's Committee said that although the Provincial People's Committee and the sectors and localities have been very active, there are still some recommendations that have not been resolved immediately and need time. Therefore, the sectors and localities must continue to resolve and report to the Provincial People's Committee, and notify the results to the Associations, Business Associations and enterprises.
Regarding new recommendations from businesses and the Business Association regarding planning, land, investment capital payment, connection, tax, etc., Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung discussed and clarified the contents; at the same time, assigned tasks and timelines for resolution to departments, branches, sectors and localities.
Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung also requested that sectors, localities, Associations, Business Associations, Provincial Business Bloc Party Committee... continue to grasp; departments, sectors, and localities proactively resolve immediately any problems and difficulties of enterprises; in cases beyond their authority, report to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and resolution.
Expressing sincere thanks and acknowledging the contributions to the development of the province, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested the Association, Business Association, and enterprises to frankly discuss and continue to reflect on problems, difficulties, and unresolved issues so that the province can grasp and consider resolving them.
The province has high expectations for the development of the business community because only when businesses develop can the province develop; at the same time, it hopes that the business community will continue to accompany the province in its development goals.
